REAR AC Lines

My rear AC lines are leaking on my 2018 Tahoe LT. I am interested in replacing them myself with aftermarkets line from Auto Cooling Solutions. Has anyone done this on their vehicle? If so, how have they held up? How was the replacement process? Any tips or things you would have done differently? Thank You.

Did you end up replacing the lines? Wondering how it turned out.

Got a 2015 Yukon XL with the rear line leaking and was gonna try the line set replacement out. GMC quoted $2600 to replace it, so for just over $400 I figure it's worth my time and then just have a shop recharge it.

Or, just buy the block off plugs for the rear line and run off the front system. Use the rear blower as a circulation fan. If/when that happens on mine, those lines will be abandoned. There is more than enough cooling capacity from the front system to keep the cabin cool.

I'm thankful that I have read about this problem on the forum here. I get under there now and then and wash all those lines off. Still look new so far. I wouldn't have even thought those lines go clear back there and tuck up out of sight. GM does some weird things along this line, plastic heater hose fittings etc.

$2600 for AC lines??

I did replace the lines. Some folks said to remove the old lines and others said to just run the new lines along a similar path and zip tie to the old. I went with the later. So far, so good.

A local mechanic that I trust quoted me between 1400 and 1600. Lots of labor and the parts are expensive. When I told him about the aftermarket soft hoses he said I should give them a shot if I wanted to save the money.
