I agree with you. The GMT400 trucks are solid trucks. My girls 1990 K2500 ext cab has 130k miles on it and is solid. Easy to work on too. I like the GMT800 trucks but the 2005 and 2006 years are the best, IMO. I am on @Shaggy other forum for GMT400 trucks and there are a lot of true blue hard core GMT400 lovers over there. Lots of those GMT400 no rust trucks around here but some get ruined, IMO, when they lift them.People are starting to realize that the older models have a design and build quality that is missing in current models, and the 2500 is a step up too.
I moved out to Oregon in 1996 with my new 1996 2 door Tahoe Sport and still kick myself in the ass for selling it.Still want to shoot myself for selling my 1995 Tahoe 4WD...
I still regret not buying 10 of them in 2009 when fuel was $4/gallon and you could pick them up for $4500Still want to shoot myself for selling my 1995 Tahoe 4WD...
That is explained as a "CarFax mistake" by a post from the seller on Aug. 6th."An April 2010 Carfax report entry notes the mileage at 100k."
Even if it has 100k miles on it, it's aged more gracefully than Susanna Hoffs.
