07 transmission overfilled?

Hey everyone. A new to me Yukon, but I checked the transmission fluid today because..well I was curious.

Done! It looks low now.
This is in park. Idling after warmed to temp and I shifted through all the gears.

Looks to need more fluid to bring up full hot.

The ATF temp is supposed to be something like 140°-160°F before you check. It takes a bit of driving to get it that hot, much longer than getting the coolant up to temp.

Cycle through the dash info display to Transmission Temperature before checking the fluid level.

When I recently installed a new torque converter, and the ATF was up to temp, that low on the dipstick was closer to almost 2qts. low. (6L80)

Or, 4 pints.

Update. Got the temp up and it was still low. So filled it. Took about 1 quarts to get it back into the hot line. Will check again tomorrow after some driving. Thanks all!
