It is agm but still not advisable to mix battery's. they should be the same age and model

I have them both connected to that 200 amp stinger isolater. Only reason I even did this is because I had the shuriken agm lying around and wanted to use it. I'd like to get another red top but don't want to spend another $300 right now lol
Oh that makes sense. I felt like it was too good to be true that the red top 34/78 agm was cheaper than the (spillable) lead acid 34/78 at orielly.By definition, an AGM, or "Abosorbed Glass Mat" battery is indeed a lead acid battery, but due it's construction, it can be positioned in any orientation. The internal "mat" contains the acid/water solution in such a manner, that it cannot be spilled if turned sideways. It is not the same as a "gel cell" battery however.
