Maaaan, I have a 2020 Yukon, and the AC decided to crap out yesterday on probably the last hot day of the year out here in PA. It looks like the unit isn’t engaging at all, just blows semi-hot air. I used the Avalanche Recharge canister, and the PSI on the low pressure side doesn’t go past 19, just gets lower and lower.

2020 Tahoe Z71 A/C failed around 70K, went to the dealer, got soaked, but my A/C works fine now.

If you're low on freon and the compressor cycles, the pressure will drop. Only when enough freon is in the system will the pressures start rising. You'll still need to add more to get the proper pressures. Find someone with a full gauge set in order to do this properly but if you add freon until the low side reads 25-35 psi (if the outside air temp is 65deg) then it will start working.

Thanks for the responses! Took the Yukon to my mechanic. Looks like it’s a common problem: The lines by the rear passenger are leaking. I did notice oil spots in the driveway, but didn’t even think it was from my truck. I bring it back to the shop next week, let’s see if my Endurance Warranty does its job and covers it

That is bananas.....I can't believe those lines failed in 4 years, possibly 5. My suggestion to you would be to rust proof the heck out 9f the new ones with some fluid film. Keep The crp from getting into the rubber grommet holders

Yep, failed at 74K miles! At least the summer is over! The warranty company covered all of it minus my $100 deductible.

Definitely found a leak….Warranty will cover it () But to fail at 74K is a shame….I hear it’s a common problem
