So there is a company out there making 3.0 coilovers for the front of the Gm 1500 platform which our vehicles are part of.

But they don’t make anything for the back. You need to modify a truck 1500 rear 2.5 piggyback shocks to make it fit.

I asked the owner of Carbon to make me a 3.0 top cap with the bearing extended.

I’m going to see if I can make a 3.0 fit.

And then we can run 3x10” rear shocks and 3x5 or 3x5.2 coilovers up front.

For the ultimate off-road capability.

Anyone interested in this?

I love that these guys make everything in house. I ask, he machines… and in a few days I’ll have it. Shipped from Oklahoma to me in NorCal.

Carbon shock technologies in Oklahoma… gotta love it.

Post pics when installed please. I have Fox 2.5 piggyback for the rears but would be interested if the 3.0s were an option.

Nice. Well 3.0 fronts are a go and easy enough.
I need to lift my suburban and get my 2.5’s off and slide this extended top cap on.
It’s a modified one that is used on raptors.

Anyone in East Bay Area want to give my lazy old fat arse a hand lllz

Rear 2.5's are easy. and 3.0 fronts are easy

2007-2018 GMC 1500

Front Coil-overs

0-2.5” Lift

  • 2.5 No reservoir $1399 (5” travel) OCH-25NR-07FC
  • 2.5 Standard Reservoir $1599 (5” travel) OCH-25SR-07FC
  • 2.5 DSC Adjustable reservoir $1899 (5” travel) OCH-25AR-07FC
600# spring standard, inquire for other rates

  • 3.0 No reservoir $1999
  • 3.0 Standard reservoir $2259
  • 3.0 DSC Adjustable reservoir $2459
600# spring standard, inquire for other rates

3.5 TITAN DSC Adjustable Finned Reservoir $TBA (these are the big secret... these wont be available until After SEMA... but yes. That says 3.5... thats a 3.5 inch shock body.

(OEM front travel is 4.4-4.6 depending on the model of vehicle. We can build special order 5.3 travel shocks, but beware they are a pita to install because of the lca inner bushing tightness)

Rears right now are 2.5 bodies. DSC adjusters are technically available but they are piggy back mount with hoses and they will require some fiddling by the end user to clear the frame. Installation as we all know on the back of the yukon/tahoe is a PITA.

email me at charles AT carbonshocks.com for questions or if any shops want to sign up as a dealer

All made in Oklahoma... Im remote in norcal so if anyone is local and wants to lend a hand with working on a 3.0 fitment, I can get you a good deal on shocks
