So I bought all my parts back in April but I haven't had the opportunity to get the upgrade done because my wheels did not give me enough clearance. So I finally bought a set of wheels with a plus 30 offset that worked perfectly. I actually had no issues with clearance on the rotor or the caliper. The only thing I did have to do was cut the bracket that holds the ABS wire. Other than that, everything went in perfectly fine and bolted up without any issues. I painted the calipers myself and also bought stainless steel brake lines. Everything in total was done in under 30 minutes per side and then needed to bleed the brakes. Total time was less than an hour and a half. If you guys have any questions, I'll be more than happy to answer them. And yes, you can tell the difference right away LOL

Wait!? Where’s the pictures of the matching 4 pot Brembo in the rear?

You can only stop on a quarter vs a dime until then. Seriously though, they look tough and pop like they should. I’m glad you found the hot galv, vented, slotted rotors that just came out.
The four piston rear is my next project. I need to find all the part numbers for that upgrade. I still haven't looked for anything yet. If you happen to know, you can save me the trouble of looking lol

You’ve really gotta wonder. How would a ZR1 Vette perform with the brakes off of a Suburban installed? It’s a hellovuh lot lighter and more powerful but you’d probably lock it up on hard stops if if didn’t have ABS.

In perspective, with the Vette’s Brembo brakes on a 3T Burb, they’ll perform like GM intended to put the heart of a Hellcat in there.

Why did GM drop the ball for so long on a BBK for the full size SUV’s even when their sibling performance flagships were wearing them?

1. Depends on which Suburban you're referring to, but here's a question that'll give perspective:
Compared to a 'vette panic stopping from 40MpH-to-0,
how much more energy is being converted to heat by a 'vette panic stopping from 80MpH-to-0?
Answer (even though I don't know my Newtonian physics well): it's closer to 4x as much, than 2x as much.

In other words
even a lightweight Saturn Sky with an LS9 underhood needs larger brake rotors to panic stop from 160MpH-to-0
compared to a Suburban panic stopping from 80MpH-to-0.

Something about 1/2mass * (velocity squared)?

2. GM been pinching pennies for decades.
Most people don't drive their bubbas / XLs / ESV's in such a way as to require 20" wheels for 16" rotors.
Suspension technology (at a reasonable cost) was not yet available to damp 20" wheels to provide desired ride quality.
