I want to remove the pinstripes off the side of my Denali, I know its easy, but being the truck has been in FL, do you think if I take them off, there will be any discoloration on the paint job? Thanks!!

The truck is a 2021 ? My personal opinion is I don’t think the truck has seen enough time in the sun to cause UV fading/ discoloration with a modern triple stage paint job, and even if there was, it would probably be so faint it would not be noticeable.

But, you’re concerned, the best bet is to remove a tiny slice at one of the ends to see if there is a difference. Might be hard to tell but that’s a good thing.

No, you're not going to see any difference -- especially after a good polishing and a few days in the sun.

Hey, I see you swapped out the chrome trim pieces around the foglight. Can you tell me how you got the stock ones off? Did you swap them when you had the whole front off the truck? I'm looking to swap mine out without removing the front end/grille and without breaking the tabs of the stock pieces.

Any advice towards doing this (maybe from under the truck) would be a big help.

No offense to you, but who does pin striping anymore? That's like adding chrome wheels, fuzzy dice, a neon undercarriage, spinner wheels, a low rider suspension, and fake big brakes...

In all seriousness though, I wouldn't imagine that it would disturb the pain, but then again, when I removed the "GMC" badges from my tailgate (2022 AT4), the coloring was noticeably different at certain angles.

It will go away if you polish it afterwards, he may not have done that.
I did. Once I removed the adhesive, I spent another hour polishing that plate until the minor swirl marks were gone and the discoloration was at a minimal. The color variation was very minor and in direct sunlight, so it wasn't all that bad.

Yeah those were actually pretty easy, they pop off but I did have the front end off. Let me see if I can find the pictures.
