We just bought a new 2024 Z71 last weekend, and boy does the mpg really suck compared to the 2022 RST we traded in.

Anybody else experiencing similar results? I’m barely getting 12-13 in the city, and I can watch the average drop while sitting in the car with it running for just 10-15 minutes.

Both old and new have the 5.3L

like I tell everyone, it all depends on how much you push the big pedal

One week in, not driving it any different than the previous model.

We were able to get 20-22 on highway trips and averaged ~17 around town.

For now it’s just wait and see I guess.

Sometimes there are mileage issues durung break in.
As far as the average dropping as you're watching it that's because you don't have enough mileage on it and idle registers at like 0 mpg because it's not moving. Reset the average while you're driving and see what it says then ignore it for a while and let it average out better.

Or drive a tank full and manually calculate it

I'm sorry to read your post with the low mpg. You are barely doing better than my 07 with the 6.2 performance tuned at 10-12 mpg in the city.
