I've searched this topic but not found a direct answer. A 2005 Z-71 Tahoe. Driver's side seat (memory seat) started going opposite to the switch. Then it moved all the way back but would only go an inch or so forward (switch direction now correct). Then it moved halfway and stopped (switch direction correct). Now it has full travel with switch direction reversed again. Bottom line is that it is inconsistent.

This happened after the battery became drained doe some reason. I've read about an update on the power seat module. The truck was 11 years old when I bought it 8 years ago and never had a problem. I've gone through the re- learning process without success. I may swap out the module.

My question: I can get a used module. Is it plug and play, or does it need to be programmed specific to my vehicle? Is there a seat schematic and connector diagram online?

Thanks!

I got one off eBay for my 07 and it works great. If you move the wires under the seat does it act right?

You might also check the wires under the driver sill and the bottom of the B pillar for good connections.

Thanks for the reply. Very helpful info. Were you having a similar problem?

My problem was my seat would get stuck in position 1, my 5’1” wife’s and I’m 6’2”. I could get it to work sometimes by reaching under the seat from behind and wiggling the wires. For me the connections got boogered up from back seat passenger big feet.

Sorry, but that's kind of funny--just sayin'

Ha!! Now that I read it again you’re right. I’m not allowed to say what position 1 is.
