Used 2023 Yukon Denali with 25k miles on it

Hey all, long time BMW owner making the switch from an X7 to a 2023 Yukon for my wife’s vehicle. I’ve been searching and found one that has her preferences and it is a 2023 Used with 25,000 miles on it across about 18 months as a personal vehicle, single owner.

The car is physically in excellent condition and looks like a just 1 year old car. It’s a basically fully optioned non-Ultimate Denali (Reserve package, Rear Media, etc etc).

I’ve been reading up around the major things to consider for this type of vehicle and got a quote on a 6/72k GMPP to add to it for peace of mind.

Anything else come to mind about my prospective purchase? Planning on grabbing it the middle of this week.

Will do, I’ll look forward to doing a few cosmetic edits if we move forward with it and reading through all the information in the Drivetrain and Engine section to keep up with maintenance. Goal would be for this car to be hers until the end of the decade / towing kids around portion of our lives.

Sounds like a good find. If you don't mind me asking, why are you moving from the BMW to the GMC? We have a Tahoe and are considering an X5 for our second vehicle.

We’ve had a few X3s, the X6, and this X7 and they’ve all honestly been fine to great. She wants more space than the X7 has - its a few inches short for rear cargo than she needs as the 2nd row seats are full power (awesome) but don’t full-fold (bad) so, for example, we have to take the wheels off our bikes to fit them in the back of the car.

She’s also just really coveted the Yukon Denali forever and its basically her dream car - so to get a loaded one, last year, with virtually all options is going to be a pretty stellar surprise.

In terms of the X7, other than the missing space, we love it. It drives so much like a sports sedan despite the weight, it’s mind blowing. For context I drive a John Cooper Works Mini, so I definitely prefer that road feel sport style. But that said, I’d be lying if i didn’t say i can’t wait to do family road trips with the Yukon - I test drove it yesterday while working with the dealer and damn the air ride + other stuff really makes it incredibly comfortable. And that V8 engine noise was pretty spectacular.

If keeping it that long, why not just try and snag a deal on any left over brand new 2024’s or a factory order 25? I know higher price but, won’t amount to much over 10 years.

Might see if you can get a history of oil changes and other maintenance that's been done.

Have the dealer do a VIN check on it to see if it falls in the range of potentially problematic engines (assuming it's a 6.2). GM will replace your engine if it seizes, but better to have the conversation first.
