Thanks everyone for all the insightful replies.

Never really thought about the different weight on the wheels/tires compared to the RST stock setup.

I'll post an update once we get past 1,000 miles, and see what's going on at that time.

Back roads 45-60 mph. Freeway 70-75 mph.
For some people the 6.2 gets better mpg than 5.3. Makes no sense. With my 5.3 I can only get 18 mpg at 70 but I have lift and tires like OP.

Our Tahoe 6.2L is stock, so that helps alot. And try to not to have a lead foot.

Once I put the heavier winter tires and wheels on it does go down 2-3 mpg. Plus winter blend gas doesn't help.

Keep in mind while the engine is idling and the vehicle is not moving you are geting exactly 0 MPG! The more remote starting is used and the more time is spent at stop lights, stop signs, drive thrus and kid drop off and pick up with the engine running, this will KILL the Average MPG with a lot of 0 MPG idle time.

Apparently her father used to criticize her mother a lot so any efforts to teach her anything or help her improve anything is ignored, balked at, etc like I'm talking to one of our kids. I use cruise control on the freeway or long stretches of surface streets all the time and I think that along with braking early/not charging every stoplight/sign is most of what attributes to my fuel efficiency, but she can't be bothered.

Agreed, but remote start also means a warm butt first thing in the morning.
