Hello everyone,
I have a 2001 yukon xl 1500
I did some suspension work and noticed the front bump stops are not there; they have disintegrated. And the rears are like peanut brittle. Wasn't able to locate viable after Market ones. So , I called the dealer. They have the fronts and the rears. 1 day order time. However, the tear lists a 6 inch and a e inch version. Hard to tell which ones I have due to the fact of their horrible condition. The 4 inch is like 30$ and the 6 inch is 127$ and the 6 inch doesn't have anything special. Took a few pics. What do you guys think?

Plug in your VIN at GMPartsGiant and have a look. There's usually a difference between a regular suspension and a Z71 equipped truck. I don't know which way the jounce bumpers go for each.

It didn't show anything.
Even the dealer couldn't find it under my vin#
They sent me the 2wd and 4wd front and rear sections of suspension and chassis. Front ones I located in the 4wd suspension, they work for both 2wd and 4wd... and the rears, I located in chassis. 4 and 6 inch were located for rear options. 6 inch I believe os for z71. 4inch worked fine for my slt and my sle. Around 39$ each one. I did all 4.

Ripped the old ones out with a prybar and a 45 degree set of heavy duty needle nose. I used silicone lube, and a prybar to wedge one side in by hand and then tools for the rest.

At normal ride height the front "jounce" stops should contact the lower control arm. It's a fulcrum point and stabilizes the suspension.
