When i am driving and try to scroll through my playlists, I get a message while driving" after 2 pages and cant go any further. Most annoying feature I have ever encountered. Is there a way to disable it? Dealer and GM are no help. I have a 2024 Yukon AT4. Thanks

No voice control? No option to set control to passenger? Can't just skip until you find something ?

Tried the other day with my wife in the car, still wouldn't allow it. Yes the skip function works, but with over 1000 songs that will take a bit. Haven't tried the voice control feature yet. I did email the company you recommended the other day, White automotive and media, waiting to hear back if they can offer a programming solution, but figured I would ask here if anyone else has found one. I see on other forums that this is an annoyance to many people, that and not being able to disable the seatbelt reminder chime.

Seems like if the music is really that big of a deal then make playlists, then there is no need to scroll thru anything.
Nothing person but I don't think I have ever met someone that memorized a thousand songs, plays one and then decides to hear a particular one next and then another. But there's always a first time. If it were me I am not going to sit there and scroll thru pages of songs, regardless if I could or not, that's what voice control can do at the drop of a lip

If you have a passenger in the vehicle, hit the bell in the upper left of the screen and select “passenger override.” Then maybe your passenger can scroll

The vehicle infotainment is telling CarPlay (your phone) the vehicle is in drive and CarPlay is (rightfully so) preventing scenarios where a driver might be staring indefinitely at a screen instead of paying attention to where they’re going.

This is easily resolved by just using Siri to play a specific playlist. It literally says so at the end of the list.

As someone else stated, some vehicles when sensing a passenger while moving give you the option to disable passenger lockout - however I believe that is designed for the built-in apps (I have never checked if that carries over to CarPlay).

I get it, sounds weird, but this happens even when trying to go through playlists. don't have them memorized that's why I try to find the playlist, or the song. My kids tried and scroll through when they are ion the front seat, there was not an option for passenger override, as someone has mentioned, we looked and tried. I will look again. I guess I am just used to all my other vehicles allowing me to scroll freely through any all all lists, and my Yukon does not. My truck which is a 2022 Ram, and Jeep, again 2022, not older at all, do not limit the function while moving, again, just used to not being restricted and was hoping there was a way to change it slowly I am getting used to the new vehicle and its features.
