I have confusing front end (assumed suspension) clunk that only shows itself on cold starts in cold weather in response to the left front wheel going over bumps.
The oddity is that after about five miles or so it goes away, at least quiets to an unnoticeable level.
It's almost like something loosens up and dampens the noise.

I'll add the the upper left front control arm has been replaced twice in about 16 months with MOOG used both times.
The shop owner was kind enough to do the second one (that actually had bushing failure) without cost.

1st: Moog ain't what it used to be.
2nd: proper diagnostic will involve leaving the car out in the cold overnight very close to the shop,
so they can hear the noise literally just moments before they mount it on the lift.

TO add: your front differential dog bone mounts could be bad too..
Common item..
And marky is right.. The moog is kinda been crappy the last few years.
I've changed over to using the Mevotech Supreme line and have liked it
Of course the delphi and genuine gm stuff is still good, but pricey sometimes

"front differential dog bone mounts"; how is that checked and is it a tough replacement?
