'blindsquirrel' (hptuners forum) mentions that Dorman universal parts, sometimes do weird stuff.
But I haven't heard anything specific to the TCCM... and so long as you can return it, it maybe worth a shot...
(For that matter any TCCM module you are allowed to return)

Only thing I can think of to check, vehicle speed is 0 before startup.
