I only found out about it after messing around in the junkyard, I first pulled one that was the new style and kept it in case mine burned out and sure enough a couple months later mine burnt out and at that point was not aware of any differences, when I went to the junkyard again I grabbed another one to have a spare again and another one just for the heck of it because it was different. I think I only paid like $10 for each of these.
usually the aftermarket ones are total garbage, hence I keep a original on the shelf, last thing I need is the fan going out in 110deg weather.
I even bought another "new" oem resistor to have a spare but these gmt900 resistors are massively built compared to the gmt800 ones that would burn out left & right. the original is still kicking along just fine.

I miss those old junk yards. In the lte 60's we had one in the next town that charged $75 for "all you can take in a trip". It was self serve, take it out your self. One trip when I had a '56 Chevy netted a hood, radio and transmission for my $75.

I keep what you wrote in mind and see what I can shake loose from the local yards but around here they don't tend to part out individual parts. When I was looking for a fender nothing short of an entire front clip would be sold. I passed.

A question on fitment.
Is CJ2 rpo code in our glovebox an indicator of proper fitment if matched on the donor, or is there a different code to check?

As far as I know all the blower motors are the same except what I pictured, all you to do is pull the cover off under the glove box and look up in there with a flashlight to see which one you have. Takes a 7mm socket

CJ2 is the auto HVAC and CJ3 is the manual one.
When I converted from CJ2 to CJ3, the old blower motor still worked with the changed out module.
So there should be no difference, like Douby said.

Picknpull in my area has very few NNBS trucks.. '07-'09 starting to trickle in.. Too many recyclers here.
Told my lady I want a gravel yard so I can relive the junkyard experience! (Plus it beats mud)
