@donjetman The one you're talking about is not my problem.
Mine is the one on the side that actually lifts to gate.
I had the original one apart today and i can not see a thing wrong with it. I did clean the contacts up. Don't know if it will help but can't hurt.
Im going to put the original one back in tomorrow and see how it works.

I discovered today why my chimes have a very low volume to the point i can almost not hear them.
Both front door speakers are blown! Can't believe i did not realize that sooner. I think the center dash speaker helped to cover the problem and i usually fade to the rear a little anyway.
Have two new speakers ordered, will be here next week.

As unpopular as it seems to be i put new headlights in. The ones i bought it with were total **** and looked stupid.
They were dim and not very bright.
The new Amerilight headlights look way better IMHO, More light for sure and will only get better as i tweek the adjustment over a few days. Seem to have a decent beam pattern also.
Low beam bulbs are H7 and high beam are H1. Wanna try to find some LED lights that will work and adjust properly.

High beams still not working and from what i read the relay mounted to the underhood fuse box is bad and the repair is usually a new fuse box.

led bulbs in projectors meant for standard bulbs can be difficult. be careful cheap ones will scatter light everywhere. kinda brutal for oncoming drivers. some of the high end ones work pretty well, but you can spend over 200$ for a set of high end led drop ins. it's almost cheaper to open the housings and retro fit new dedicated bi-led projectors in them. usually way brighter too.

I like the look on the new ones

I don't mind paying for a good set. I do mind paying for a good set that does not work very well and blinds oncoming traffic.
Maybe HID would be better. I did like them on the Escalade i had.

it's all about mimicking the light itself coming from the same spot as the halogen bulb. hard to do with both led and hid bulbs. but some do much better than others. that's what to search for when researching what to buy. few good youtube channels test them.

Yeah. Been watching some vids for sure. They say HID is a direct replacement for H7 and H1 bulbs and some LED's work great also.
I'm not paying Morimoto price, surly there is some more reasonable that will work just fine.
Also, I'm not into doing a HID lens conversion as all the ones i see will ruin the look of the new headlights.

I kinda jump around on what im working on so with that I'm mind i have not gotten any new headlight bulbs.
My fuel gauge sender stopped working a few weeks ago and now the gauge just reads empty and no remote stat cuz it thinks it out of gas.
Getting the tank out is actually not a bad job at all. Now that i have it out and know how to do it i think i could do it in about an hour
I was really dreading doing it as all you see is how bad a job it is and a PITA, but it's really not.
The bummer is i ordered the GM replacement sender and it does not fit as my fuel pump is a Delphi so have to return that to Rock Auto. Leaving me with the only choice of purchasing a complete fuel pump from Orilley's as i need my truck running but it will not be here till tomorrow around noon.
Whale im waiting for that im going to try and get the diff mounts changed.
