Vinyl wrap roof rails

Has anyone vinyl wrap the roof rails on their Tahoe? Planning on blacking out the chrome rails (last thing I need to black out) but worried about the stability of the cross rails clamping down on the vinyl??
Any input is much appreciated.

Lots of people here have done it. Just need to sniff around for the posts.

...But adding cross rails on top of the vinyl sounds like a new one. I'm not sure who's done that.

I have had it on mine for 4 years, and it still looks good. But I don't use roof rails, and I would assume that if you are clamping and unclamping rails all along the length of it, it would eventually screw it up pretty quickly. On my next vehicle. I'm going to go with all factory permanent black parts, and have them changed out even if I have to take them off of AT4's. or whatever.

Thanks for the replies guys. I did see that people have wrapped the roof rails and that the wrap holds over time.
I am mostly worried about the grip on the cross bars as I would hate to lose one going down the hwy because of lack of grip strength. The cross bars on these new trucks is pressure driven, rather than bolted into slots like the previous model.
