Hello,
I have an issue where my left side tail light is brighter then right side on 2015 Yukon Denali. I sent them to circuit board medics last year they fixed, and replaced them. The other day I noticed the driver side is alot brighter then passenger side is. So circuit board medics just sent me a different one and I got it today and it is also brighter than the right side. Would this be a fuse, wiring, plug issue, corrosion? Anyone have a fix? I believe the passenger side, the dimmer light is fine it’s the left side that is the issue, but not sure on a fix. I’ll probably just send the new one back to them.

Sounds like a resistance problem on the p/s. Likely not getting a full 12 volts to that side.

I think because the tail light on the left side and the new one is brighter, when you tap the brakes the right side lights up as bright as the left with brakes on, it goes dim when they are off, but the left doesn’t change brightness so that’s why I think something is wrong on left side.

I would check the socket that the dimmer bulb is in. I do not think the problem is on the bright side.

So are you thinking that the driver's side brake light is always on? How does it act in daylight, when the running lights aren't on?

You bring up a good point here. Because that left side is as bright as what the brakes should be it could be a possibility it is stuck on. My mechanic is going to look at it tomorrow afternoon. I’ll just tell him could be the brake light is stuck on because that is the brightness when I I press brakes the right side matches the left side. I’ll report back after I get a fix.
