Hey guys, first post in here
Anyways my brake lights are not working in my 2001 tahoe. I have no power at the brake switch on any of the wires. But yet I have power past the fuse (20amp)from the fuse box under the hood. I tested it with my own wire ran a temporary wire from there to the brake switch tested it and now I have power there and then I have power coming from it when I press the brakes but it doesn't make it to the other fuse (10amp) are there any spot where these connect between the switch and those fuses? Brand new switch it works, ran my own wires and can get them to light up but I want it right, cruise control doesn't work, and using scan tool for abs and it says there is no brake input. Sorry if that is confusing

Dealing with the same issue right now on my 05 yukon. All fuses are good. Have you been able to figure this out yet?

The electrical systems between the two years (2001 vs 2005) can be significantly different.

WAG: make sure that the trailer wiring connector (7-blade) contacts are not dirty; they're on a different circuit than the body lights but sometimes can affect how the lights work.

I ended up running my own wires from the brake light switch to the fuse that feeds them. One from the fuse thats supposed to go to the switch and then one from the switch to the fuse that goes to the brake lights. But your model I believe has a board on the frame near the back thats like a conjunction panel that everything plugs into, might wanna check there. Mine did not have that. Use a probe to check for power from the switch on the brake pedal to make sure power is leaving from it. And if so then check that junction panel.

Should look like this photo I attached

By the "same issue" do you mean that you don't have B+ to the brake light switch, or just that the brake lights don't work?

No brake lights. All fuses look good, new brake switch. All other lights work. Didn't get a chance to start checking for power yesterday so going to do that after work today.
