2015-20 vs 21+ Towing

Sorry if it's been asked before, but I'm looking to trade up my '17 Suburban Premier 5.3L/6l80 for a '22-'24 Yukon Denali.

For yall that have had both, what is your experience towing with both? My biggest worry is the independent rear suspension won't stabilize and hold up as well as my solid axle.

I've towed over 13k miles with my Suburban and I've felt the 8000 lb capacity is only the limit because of power. I've hauled 7500 lb loads through the Colorado mountains and I've never had a single worry about cooling, braking, or stability. It's been phenomenal handling trailers. With the rear air bag assist mine has, I've never felt overloaded. I almost say it hauls better than my '98 one ton Chevy.

I drive a new Denali at work and I really want to upgrade to one with the 4 corner air suspension and 3.0 Duramax. I love that thing and the features it has.

I'm just worried the rear independent suspension won't handle trailers as well.

I am pulling a 25' at about 5,500-6,000 lbs. and it tows fantastic. I have a 2021 Suburban, 6.2 and no air suspension and I love it. I usually stay around 65 mph, but it has no sway and handles great faster.

The problem with indenpendent is any sag will cause uneven tire wear. Otherwise, even with sag it seems to tow fine. My prevous rig was 2500HD, my new rig lacks the power but stability towing is fine. So far, I have only used it 1x with a 20' cargo trailer.
