1999 Chevy Tahoe Rear Hatch Latch

I am the owner of a 1999 Chevy Tahoe with the drop down rear hatch. (not the 'barn doors).
The rear hatch 'latcvh' which is inside of the hatch is broken and will not lock. The spring
on the latching mechanidsm that looks like a 'crab claw' needs replacement. Days have been
spent attempting to locate a replacement with no luck. Can anyone be of assistance? Much

That part is discontinued, looking at my sources, which is most likely what you have found, as well. Your best bet is to go to a local salvage yard, or try on EBay.
