First winter with our 2024 Yukon and the defroster doesn't work. I felt and there is zero air blowing when the max defroster is on. When the defroster is engaged you can almost here a flap sealing to prevent the air. I know we pushed the dealership for a quick turnaround to pick up the car when it was delivered. If there is a seal that is removed during delivery, I'd rather remove it myself than take it to dealership for an easy fix. Any thoughts or knowledge if there is anything removed by the defroster as part of delivery.

I do not think there is anything on the dash that needs to be removed prior to delivery other than the plastic protecting the heads up disply lens.

Something may not have been properly plugged in, the dealer should be able to connect a service tool to check for climate control error codes and may even be able to operate the blend door(s) with the service tool to see if they can get air moving to the correct location to verify operation or a failure of some sort for the blend door(s).

Return it to the dealer for repair under the warranty.

There shouldn't be any seal removed during delivery that affects the defroster. If you hear a flap sealing when engaging max defrost, it sounds like a blend door actuator issue—the flap may be stuck or malfunctioning, preventing airflow to the windshield. Try switching between different vent modes to see if airflow changes. You can also check if the cabin air filter is clogged, restricting airflow. If nothing works, a software reset (disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes) might help. If the issue persists, it may require a dealer visit to inspect the HVAC system or recalibrate the actuators.
