I'm new and clueless to lifts, my father is the actual owner of the 2004 yukon 4.8 rwd I'm referring to. He paid a shop to install a RC 6" lift kit but they botched it and outright didn't install everything, I already replaced the wheel bearings, center link, inner/outer tie rods, pitman/idler arms, sway bar links and control arms to start but i noticed the control arm was loose despite the proper torque on the knuckle....so the hole is stretched or whatever so now the knuckle has to be swapped but I don't know if I need a 3" lift specific knuckle or stock or maybe even swapped from another gm compatible part. I'd greatly appreciate some help, Thank You

If yours were mine the first thing I would do is get a part list from the specific lift that was purchased and see what, if anything, is missing.
I've been trying to gather that but the knuckle is my main issue right now as there's clear movement in the top mount for the control arm so it needs replacing first an foremost

Unfortunately, sometimes you really need to start with the basics. Knowing what is supposed to be on there is likely to recommend what you need to do to repair the crappy job that was done before your ownership. If you can't find the lift kit information on the Rough Country Website -- or other forums -- you might just email or even pick up the phone and call Rough Country.

By the way, you are doing everything right. For right now, you need a little patience -- or you'll end up in the same shape as the guys that crapped up the lift the first time.

Good luck -- I hope we can continue to help you!
