Odd issue reared its head last night.

Idle is oscillating between 350-650ish rpm at stop lights.

Occasionally dies when letting off the brake pedal at a light.

No codes. No glaring symptoms.

Almost seems like a vacuum leak. Are there common areas that like to cause leaks on these?

SOLVED: good god guys I am so ashamed of the solution. The coupler from my Corsa intake box to the tube, had slipped off, essentially making a giant vacuum leak. Keep it simple fellas, that’s usually the answer

That happened to me after I put on my MIT tube about a year and half ago.
I was out of town in a downpour in city traffic...
blocking traffic, all the good stuff !!!
Took me a bit.. Once I got the thing to run long enough to get off the
street into a parking lot.. Then found it !!!!!!!!

If only we all had access to a lift bay for working on our cars.

Can you imagine if those new tract homes in planned communities had an option for a lift bay in a garage? It’d be the frick’n coolest gearhead neighborhood ever.

It’d be like “Yea, bring your car over, we’ll put it on the lift, see what’s going on and turn on the grill.”

My driveway would look like the first F&F movie every night.

I had a buddy who inherited a house with a garage addition that had an 18ft ceiling and a 20k lb 2 post. That was the LIFE. He ended up selling it and moving to GA, where he now works for a race team. Pic of my old DD SF Forester on his lift.

That’s kind of how this happened. GF and I took another couple out to a comedy show. As I went to make the left into the strip, it died at the light. It died 3 more times through the night, then again the next morning when I had to run to the grocery store.

After I fixed it, I told the GF, “that’ll teach me to post without popping the hood!”
