Parking a full-size is simple..... Don't try to find the closest parking spot. ( You avoid door dings, anyway).....
Learn to be comfortable using the mirrors !!!!!!!!!
BTW....,. The large SUV, that I never hear about any recalls is the Infinity Qx80. I just wish they had a Suburban-size.

I'll never trust the Genesis... It's actually a Hyundai, and they are very problematic, with "neat looking" tech & fancy looking lights, and, to me, "bling" isn't the important aspect, reliability, & mechanically is.
I rented a Genesis at a Colorado vacation...... Many weird electronic glitches. ( like the front seat was adjusting its self, after it was in drive!! )

well the yukon & tahoe are the same thing, so that narrows it down to 3.
the yukon and tahoe share the same platform, peel the skin off and they are identical.
same as if your wife went out and dye's her hair purple, same wife different color hair.
They are identical almost mechanically (with the exception of the available electronic Limited Slip Diff on some non-off road trims in the GMC).

Beyond that, there are differences in trims and available options interior wise: for 2025 the Infotainment Screen is a big (literally) difference. Other more subtle options to look at/consider in the GMC vs Chevy are laminated front window glass, wood vs fake wood in the interior, how much of the seats are truly leather, number of speakers in the audio system. The other diffences are more obvious trade dress, aesthetics, interior color etc.

My suggestion if you are wondering the differences in GMC vs Chevy is to go to the web sites, open two browser windows, and compare the full specs side by side for the trims you are interested in...
There are a few things that are "enhanced" on the GMC lineup that are not available or different on the Chevy. The GMC will cost a little more for comparable trims to the Chevy, but there are things included for the slightly extra dough...whether they have value to you or not is only for you to judge.

You can't go wrong with either.

I’m currently bouncing between four different vehicle choices and really need the opinion of someone who is not my wife. Basically I need an outsiders perspective.

Here are the four vehicles I’m looking at:
2025 Yukon AT4
2025 Tahoe Z71
2025 Lincoln aviator
2025 Genesis GV80

The exact build of each of these vehicles is sort of irrelevant but they all hover around the same purchase price, which is important

We’re two relatively young people with no kids as of yet and history of GM vehicles.

Looking for general opinions about the vehicles themselves and if anyone has any experience that they can share. Hoping for some info thay may help us shed some light on this decision. Thank you.

From that list, AT4 all day. Question, though, if for the wife, primarily on road, and competing against the non GM versions...why not Denali? The standard tires on the AT4 will be gone in 25K miles, and be noisy.

Well put it this way your way better off leaning to what the wife's wants then you because if you purchase a vehicle on more what you want if something ever happens to that vehicle you will never and I mean never hear the end of it. Don't pressure her to make the decision if you do she will come back and make her decision based on what you want and that will give her ammunition if something happens. Ask her what she thinks of a certain vehicle if she hesitates to reply then she's not sure.
Give this man above the prize!!!! In my household it always seems to be "Reassign the blame"!!!!

If the wife gets what she wants, then the only thing she can do it complain that you/I did not talk her out of it!! "Why did you let me buy this?"

As for Tahoe/Yukon, FORGET both. Get the LONG BUS. I bought a Yukon XL in 2005 and the wife originally thought it was too big. My rationale was if I was driving a Yukon or Tahoe, dragging around another 18-24" was not going to be a problem. THANK GOD I bought the LONG BUS!

Then before I bought the 2024 my wife was looking at SUV's we would pull up to while driving or walking in a parking lot and she said we could never own something smaller than a LONG BUS. BIG WIN!

20 years of driving cross county, hauling kids to school and events, hauling furniture, mulch, building materials, and moving kids to a from college, moving houses, hauling dogs, moving stereo speakers (yea I like big ones!) you name it I have probably hauled it. ABSOLUTELY no regrets with the LONG BUS. Only a few times did I borrow a roof top carrier, pull a trailer or need a pickup for something that could not have been laid on its side.

To this day, WEEKLY I still fill up my 2005 Yukon XL with all the seats down making dump runs with yard waste. Pick up plants, potting soil, mulch (I think have put 60 bags of mulch in my XL!!) luckily I have air suspension that still works.

LONG BUS all day long!

I agree !! My '05 XL is a life saver! I never blink an eye, with an 8 foot bed when needed. Plus, the longer wheel base is more stable on the interstate, if you have to make a sudden steering maneuver.

that's what you call bells & whistles. they are still the same, they still use the same software.
yes package A versus package C is different across the board.
I guess when you have money you can have the Blonde or the Platinum Blonde or if you are really lucky BOTH!

+1 to the XL...it is like 2500-3K price difference, all the options are the same, and at times it has been the difference between driving one vehicle or two on a long road trip. In addition to all the hauling of stuff.

The Suburban/XL you can take 6 people for a 4-7 day getaway, and have room for all the required suitcases, beer in the coolers, (makeup, hair dryers, curling irons, 22 pairs of shoes), and food.

In the Tahoe/Yukon, you have to lmit everyone to 2 pairs of shoes, a 1qt ziplock bag of makeup, no hair dryer or curling iron, and can only take a 6 pack of beer.

LONG BUS all day, twice on Sunday.

Plus, the longer wheel base rides better and the 2nd row door is bigger.
