Tuner said I need to get two Walbro 535 pumps. Noted that I could get by with 1 , but It would be maxed. I’m not sure if someone makes a drop in unit or if I have make my own. Any help would be appreciated.

summit has them..might even have dual pump kits.

if not I just googled it and several companys make them, dual pump kits.

no back story on your vehicle, supercharges/turboed..etc..the need for dual pumps..

I appreciate it.
I wasn’t sure and was told that there could be a difference between an suv and a truck pump assembly . I didn’t want to spend money on something that wouldn’t fit.

I had no intention to mod the truck to this intent. But here we are.

Lt4 short block
Lt4 fuel pump , inj. Flex fuel
Btr v220 cam
Ported heads
Headers
Magnuson 2650

I was limited by the tank pump that I didn’t upgrade.

first you upgrade when you "pressurize" your intake manifold is the fuel pump(s).
well I did when i was upgrading my rice burner with a larger turbo & injectors.
did you get a intercooler? I see the magnuson 2650..or does it come with a intercooler?

have you looked into water/meth injection to support your setup?

Yes it has a heat exchanger for the supercharger. The high side fuel pump and injectors are new Lt-4 stuff. I’m looking for the low side pump upgrades. Ive ran ally injection on my Buick, and that’s not what I’m looking for at the moment. Thanks for the reply’s.

Maybe I am in the wrong fourm. I just assumed that with the gear heads in this space, that someone would have some input on making over 600-800hp. My fuel system is in dyer need of an upgrade.

I could fab up 1 or 2 intank pumps. But then again the head pressure at idle could be to high. I probably need a regulated system??

Well I did upgrade the high side. I just didn’t put a lot of thought into the low side at the time, until I got to the tuner. Then I had to tune it for what I had. Now I’m trying to resolve this issue.

I could buy the pumps that I need through racetronics. So my thought is ,am I going to need to add a regulator, and return line. Just looking for a little info on the subject.

the fuel line to motor, since V8, -10 AN lines?
return line back to fuel tank -8 AN lines?

dual fuel pump offered on summit and they had dual setups as well. plus the 535s that you want.

with 535s and the whp goals, -10 (9/16") for the high side & -8 (1/2") for the returns.

but for 6-800 whp..a single 535 pumps should work..

I use to build & tune ricer burners, 2.0 & 2.5 liters and +400 wheel with factory fuel system with upgraded intercooler, injectors & fuel pump worked.
I have not measured the factory fuel line in the tahoe (my 2016). but it makes +380 chp on the stock fuel system, including
the in tank fuel pump.

from summit racing website..
The following chart has some general guidelines for selecting a fuel pump for a gasoline engine:

so 800 with supercharger..470 lph

your tuner want you to get twin 535s?

I'd get a second opinion. even with some overhead..say 20%

470 x 1.2 = 564 lph..since injector duty cycle should be ~80%.
so they are not statically open..

as far as tuning with dual pumps for idle and low loads...done it before..not pretty
but doable the MAF scalar table if we have one in our ecus or called something different..
grams per second of air versus volts that determines how much fuel at idle to low load.

I've seen others on here that have set-ups like what you have. maybe in drivetrain
and not performance?..

well hell..i was looking at aftermarket fuel rails & regulator for my 2.5 liter turbocharged +450 whp.

they make the kits for all the fuel upgrades, depending on price I like to keep my local as long as
they are reasonable close to what summit can offer.

and no i don't work for summit..well maybe they should hire me part time..
