    Looking to shave lift gate

@Duramax05blk No problem. If you don't have a tig welder, you could probably take it to a local trailer store or metal shop and they might do it fairly cheap. If you're not wanting to get too carried away with it, fosscore's method would definitely be a good alternative:beer:

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

This is from Sunday but I spent the day on the lake with my dad and got another chance to put my new hitch to the test. I expected it to ride like crap since I haven't installed helper bags yet but it ended up riding pretty nice. Only bottomed out one time on a very hard bump. I'll still...

    Looking to shave lift gate

@Duramax05blk I just cut out some pieces from a scrap aluminum hood, placed them on the back side of the gate, welded them in, and grinded smooth. I still have a pic luckily.

What did you do to your NBS GMT800 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Slapped together a hidden hitch to go behind my roll pan using some 2.5" square tubing, a 6" inch receiver tube I got off of amazon, and a couple gussets. Ended up coming together pretty nicely. I took the jet skis to the lake this evening and it felt nice to finally be able to tow again.

Would you sell just the bags by themselves then? If so, how much? Thanks

Do you have the air lines & fittings to go with the helper bags?

    Hidden hitch-Who makes one?

Nice job! Looks like it would be more than strong enough for what I plan to tow. I think I'll do something similar with mine. Thanks again for all the info.

    Hidden hitch-Who makes one?

Thanks for the info! I'll probably end up just making one like you did. Do you happen to have a picture of it finished without the roll pan on?

Sold the 15 Yukon Denali and bought a 16 Yukon XL Denali

What kind of LED's did you use for the running boards? I love how uniform the light looks. Nice upgrade by the way!

    Hidden hitch-Who makes one?

I've been looking for a hidden hitch that goes behind the roll pan for my 02 tahoe. I know Sir Michaels used to make them and several people on here had them, but since they went out of business I'm just wondering if any other company makes them? There are some available for the...

    rusting 2001 Tahoe

Yeah I went ahead and removed the foam. I believe it's just there to kind of hold the two panels together and prevent rattling/add stiffness and such. It's pretty pointless really. And yeah for the fender well, I know I bought the top panel. For the vertical panel I can't quite remember if you...

    rusting 2001 Tahoe

That's a pretty common area for rust to form. It's kind of a shitty design on GM's part. There's some foam material between the panels in that area, and somehow rain, salt, and other debris can get into there and then can''t drain because of the foam, causing it to rust. Here are some pictures...

    Got my old tahoe back

Thanks man, I definitely got lucky. It could have been in a lot worse shape for sure. As far as the wheels, before I even got the tahoe back, I was set on getting a set of the 24" tbss reps in machined finish. I started to stray away from that idea, but it seems like everyone on here is thinking...

    Got my old tahoe back

Yeah it's weird how they look so small on that white tahoe. I wonder if it's because of the fender gap. I think the lower it is, the better it looks with 22s. I was really set on 22s, but that picture is a little disheartening haha

    Got my old tahoe back

I've thought about the silver machined finish. If I did that I would probably wrap the chrome on the running boards like you said. I know 3M makes a metallic black vinyl that looks pretty similar to the tuxedo black on the top half of the truck, so that would be a possibility. I'm not too fond...
