Do I need a 2500?
Well, thanks for the replies. I have decided to get a 2500. I found a 2008 6.0L 2500 Suburban 4x4. With all the advice I got here, I decided I would just be better off getting the 2500. Thanks, that good to know. If I can swing it, that is the one I want. It is everything I am looking for and it is a beautiful dark blue. Perfect in every way. The same dealer also has a 2006 2500 6.0L, white. It is only $10K. It would be my second choice.- Oldmopars

Do I need a 2500?
I posted some questions about a 2008 2500. I guess I need to know if I really need a 2500. The main reason for my thinking I need a 2500 is that I have a trailer that has a MAX GVRW of 8000lbs. Dry it is 6500lbs. From what I have read the 1500 can haul 8000lbs, and the 2500 can haul 9600lbs...- Oldmopars

2008 Yukon XL 2500 questions
I found a second one, it is in perfect condition with 176K. But no rust issues or trans issues. However it is $14K. I can take a risk and save a bunch of money, or buy a great one from the start for 2 times as much.- Oldmopars

08 2500 with a transmission "bump"?
I have been searching, but can't seem to find where I read or heard about it. It seems this may be common? I am looking at a 2008 2500 Yukon and the ad says the transmission bumps slightly, but goes through all the gears just fine. Could this just be a motor mount? Or something else?- Oldmopars
