Check out Eonon for a good android based radio. Theseatshop.com has replacement foam and sins for the seats for a good price. LED lighting makes a huge difference too. I did everything inside and out except the turn signals and brake lights. Good LED reverse lights make a huge difference.
Yes willthom, that's the size on there now. I've never had much luck with dip in the cans, it's easier to just buy a gallon. I've got the sprayer from when I dipped my last BMW
My blaster is $40/wheel just for blasting. Not sure on what powder would cost. I'm going to run them red for the summer and maybe refinish them over the winter.
I have no complaints against the cops. When I have been pulled over it's been for legitimate (although maybe nit picky) reasons. I just give them what they ask for and I'm quickly on my way. If I can afford getting pulled over though so much the better.
They're pretty good about making up something. I've only been pulled over once because my license plate lights were out. I've had friends pulled over for tint, exhaust (mine is stock) and plenty of other dumb stuff. The rich towns around here just dont like "that type" in their towns.
I'm more worried about getting pulled over by the cops in a few of the towns around here. I don't have anything to worry about if they do pull me over aside from the hassle of a few lost minutes. Guess I can run them and see what happens. I still have the stock wheels if I need to swap back...
Part of the reason I'm thinking about running them as they are is they were just painted and ceramic coated. It's going to be a big pain in the ass to sand them down and get them ready for a repaint. It is definitely the only red I'll have on the truck. My brakes and suspension are burnt copper...
I picked up a set of 22's for my 04 Yukon. They were freshly repainted and for $700 I couldn't turn it down. I planned to repaint them gunmetal but the red is growing on me quickly. What do you guys think? I still need to raise the front end up to clear a little better, although they don't rub...
My drop keys were already all the way up. I need some stock keys and then just adjust them as needed. My truck is apart at my old job right now and it has to be out tomorrow so I needed a local set asap. I have a few friends with them but didn't want to freeze my ass off swapping them from...
Anyone near Norwalk CT have a set of stock torsion keys for an NBS yukon? I got new rims and need to raise my truck back up some. I threw out the stock keys when I lowered my truck.
Here's some pics. I need to build my shed before we strip this so he'd like to sell it as a whole. It's going to be a week or two until the shed is done. The wheel were swapped onto his new escalade so there's stock 04 esky wheels on it.
The transmission in my brothers 02 Escalade went so we're parting it out. The truck has about 129k on it and aside from some rust in the lower rear doors and rockers the truck is in good shape. The transmission lol ost 4th and reverse so would be good for a rebuild and if you want it I can get a...
The stock speaker is a component type, separate woofer and tweeter. I still have the stock tweeters in and wired but I didn't think to check the tweeter in the new speaker. It was cold when I put them in and I just wanted to get it done. I'll try and check tomorrow.
I'm probably just going to polish the stock headlights. I haven't found much that I like the look of and already have all front LED lights. I haven't found many tail lights I like either.
It gets rid of the check valve in the fluid preheater circuit. It's something that if it sticks can cook the transmission. Probably not a huge issue but it's one less thing to worry about. He builds hundreds of transmissions a year so I just let him do his thing.
I found a great speaker upgrade for the door speakers in our trucks. I pulled two pair of Fusion 7" marine speakers from a boat I stripped and thought they'd work well and damn they do. The speakers are 4 ohm so they work with the Bose amp and they've got a ton of bass, especially if you've...
Thanks guys. I forgot about this post. It turned out to be a long repair list and cost more than 3 times what I was expecting. Had a cracked oil pan, broken motor and tranny mounts, leaking lines, leaking front diff and a few other things. The tranny rebuild itself was done in trade for some...
Compustar is another good brand I've had in most of my vehicles. They can be programmed to control 2 cars with one remote and the two way I have has at least a half mile range even being inside with another office building between me and my truck. It can be wired for trunk release, window...
