idk if it has been said but if you want to remove all the chrome trim, just wait for the OEM RST parts to come out - those should be black I'm thinking and a direct replacement.
FYI this just came out a few weeks ago I believe - part #19355506

Ordered one and going to...
Following up on this with my findings.
There are actually several liftgates made by GM:
one for the Tahoe/Suburban/Yukon/Yukon XL that has a fixed upper (where the logo is):
and one for the denali that has holes in the same area:
My solution to blacking out (color matching) the chrome...
Really? are you in an Escalade?
I thought it was more tan but maybe it's more light grey. either way, black would be nice to have as an option... I prefer the cave feel and a black headliner is pretty neat at night.
hopefully the date being 6/2 means that a new (rpo? i think it's called) order guide will be out in the next couple weeks or so
The only thing that could hold me off from buying a 2017 is a black headliner option..
It's annoying and a bit embarrassing that black interiors have tan headliners.
My vote is to decide on a random letter combination you like that isn't a word or anything...
I've always thought that X's and Z's and 7's were pretty neat letters to have in a license plate
"ZMX 525"
"GXZ 1R7"
or something like that...
I'm assuming the tint shop you went to is in MO? If not, and it's in TX; could you send me a name? Joined just to ask as I'm looking to do the same on my '16
