    Saw this sweet Tahoe while out and about. 35 inch tires, some kind of Fox lift, I didn’t look close because I didn’t want to look like a weirdo, PPV deflector, and RST grille. Close to what I want to do with my Sub. I wonder if the owner is on here…?

    Not a fan of empirical metrics, like you said we tossed out the king for a reason. However I will admit, mm sockets are a lot easier to guess than fractions. For volume, I’ll take oz over ml any day.

    I changed my rear diff oil today. It only took 3 bags of amsoil, when 5.5 pints of oil is recommended. I was afraid I did something wrong until I realized I ordered quarts and not pints. So now I have a lot of extra oil. And it was not cheap. FYI, 1 quart = 2 pints.

    Battery went bad today. Could have been old, could have been the heat. Just curious it went out so soon after replacing the alternator.

    Put the Timken in. Everything went well except it didn’t seem to be the issue. The groaning road noise is still there! Could it be the C.V.?

    More rigid, less parts, easier to lift. There’s a reason heavy duties still use solid axles, because independent suspensions can’t handle tough work.

    Years later, thanks for this! I’m in the process of the opposite of what you did, I’m deleting chrome. I just broke the harness tabs, I said screw it. Maybe one day if the bumper comes off I’ll reattach them. Old chrome pad still fully in tact.
