    2007 6.2 #6 cylinder misfire

The original replacement had a bent electrode that I hadn’t noticed when installing. The replacement looks much better. I’m seeing a small amount of intermittent misfires on other cylinders, I guess it doesn’t like some being new and others being old. I will get to them quickly.

    2007 6.2 #6 cylinder misfire

I see #3 is misfiring with a new plug installed, will have to check that

    2007 6.2 #6 cylinder misfire

Today I did driver side bank 1/3/5/7. Here’s an image of the NGK single plat next to the delco iridium I replaced with. They all looked similar. Just need to do 2/4/8 now but it got cold again in Michigan and I’m doing this in the driveway so that’s how it goes sometimes.

    2007 6.2 #6 cylinder misfire

Mileage is unknown, I bought the truck with 240k miles on it and now up to 270k. I suspect the originals were replaced with these NGKs on at least 1 occasion but just a theory

    2007 6.2 #6 cylinder misfire

Thanks. I have not looked at the others yet but if they all could look like that I definitely should. The old one was a NGK TR5GP and I replaced with the Delco Iridium the parts store sold me.

Cold Air Intake (CAI) on 2013 6.2L - worth doing?

My 2007 6.2 came with a K&N already installed and this custom(?) air box. It works well enough. I’m not sold on adding any more ponies to the operation but it does add a satisfying rumble when accelerating.

    2007 6.2 #6 cylinder misfire

2007 Yukon 6.2 270k miles I troubleshooted a #6 cylinder misfire code to a bad spark plug. The plug looks like this. Looks like it had a hard life. Besides the oil saturation, does this say anything on the condition of the motor?

    07 6.2 P0011

I changed the oil, using Mobil 1 5w-40 full syn and a K&N filter and my oil pressure raised a good amount at least between cold-hot. I’m getting about 55psi cold startup which drops to 40 at idle when mostly warmed up but it still falls off a cliff to about 15 when fully hot and idle, though it...

My oil pressure is definitely under what’s preferred but my code comes and goes. Sometimes it behaves long enough for the CEL to go off then it comes back on in a few drive cycles.

Also, I’ve been running premium over regular under the assumption if the engine can’t retard timing like it wants to with lower octane, it’s probably going to knock. I probably shouldn’t drive it at all for now. Guess I’ll try the solenoid actuator and bolt that lives behind the water pump as...

    07 6.2 P0011

P0011 or “Timing too advanced - bank 1”, I think it’s related to VVT but I’ve seen threads where people have replaced the oil pickup o-ring and the VVT specific stuff and I’m not sure what exactly is the fix here. I have normal-ish oil pressure for a tired 6.2, 40psi cold startup, 25-30 at 2k...

    07 6.2 P0011

This is a 6.2 with nearly 250k miles and still runs pretty well but this one code could get the CEL off for me if I could figure it out. I’ve done a good amount of reading and it doesn’t seem like one particular part/parts is guaranteed to be a remedy here. If it were you, where would you...
