    DOD AFM Delete videos

I wanted to ask why you didn't replace the oil pump with lower volume version or plug relief valve port? It is my understanding that the extra oil pressure for the AFM system causes spray on cylinders that increased oil consumption. Awesome video! I would love to tackle it myself but my best...

Pirelli AS plus 3 vs Michelin Defenders LTX M/S

Not totally positive but believe they are wider. The tread width is 10” on the ground. The main issue is the aspect ratio of 45. Skinny sidewalls transmit every road imperfection plus curbs can easily damage the rims. Already had to repair one for scraping a curb. The larger sidewalls the stock...

Pirelli AS plus 3 vs Michelin Defenders LTX M/S

The one thing missing from this discussion that is highly relevant, is the wheel size. If you have larger wheels than stock or even the larger 22" wheels offered by GM, it will make a huge difference in balance and ride. Mine are 22" 285/45-22 GM wheels and the LTX tires are great, but betting...

Pirelli AS plus 3 vs Michelin Defenders LTX M/S

I am on my second set of Defenders. I have the 22” GMC wheels and they are smooth, quiet, and stay in balance. I got 65,000 miles out of the first set. I took the original Bridgestone tires off at 2,000 miles because they couldn’t be balanced. The Defenders solved the balance problem and made...

    *Update: Engine Down* Cam/lifter upgrades?

Thanks. I have been using Amsoil 0-20 Signature oil since new but only change mine once a year. I rarely drive more than 12k a year. Amsoil has amazing detergents and does a great job capturing and suspending contaminates. Do you also run 93 octane? I do and mine doesn’t cycle in and out of the...

    *Update: Engine Down* Cam/lifter upgrades?

What weight and type of oil are you running preceding lifter failure? Was there any excess varnish on the failed lifters?

Help diagnosing rear seat rattle '21 Tahoe

I know what fixed mine. Tip up the seats and wrap the latch on the floor with several wraps of electrical tape. Or you can wrap it with thin rubber like bicycle inner tube held by tie wraps on ends. This will make it slightly harder to latch down but fixed the rattle on mine. I originally...

    Oil ?

0w-20 as recommended for my 6.2L engine in my 2016 Denali works fine. I have used Amsoil Signature oil since new and no issues burning or using oil. I did add a catch can to preserve my valves and get about 1/2 pint in it between oil changes. ( once a year ). I have 65k miles on mine. The engine...

    Oil ?

What is the problem with 0W-20? I run Amsoil 5W-20 and no issues with mine. 65,000 miles and not burning or using oil. I did add a catch can and get about 1/2 pint in it every 5,000 miles. Thinner oil flows better and this engine is clearanced to run fine on 0-20.

2nd Row Seat Adjustment Levers Rattling

Try this fix for your rattling seats. I used short piece of bicycle inner tube attached to the floor attachment rods with tie wraps. A few wraps of electrical tape may work too. My seat is a little harder to latch down with rubber on seat attachment rod but it will latch down if pushed firmly.

    Rattles!

I have a 2016 XL Denali that has some rattles in the back that drove me crazy and there are two areas that you need to look at. One is the adjustable stops for the rear hatch bumpers. The hatch rattles if those stops are loose. The second thing you need to look is the seat latches for the...

2nd Row Seat Adjustment Levers Rattling

My 2016 back captains chairs were rattling and I found a temporary fix. I installed 2 short pieces of bicycle inner tube attached to the latch rod on floor with tie wraps. Seat is a little hard to latch down but does work if pushed firmly. Wrapping with layer of electrical tape might work...

2nd Row Seat Adjustment Levers Rattling

I had a rattle that I would have sworn was either the dash or the passenger window and finally found the problem by accident when I stepped on the forward part of my outside running board one day. Turns out it was in the inner wheel wheel on the passengers side, loose creaking spot welds. I...

2nd Row Seat Adjustment Levers Rattling

I have the same problem on my 2016 Denali. I saw a You Tube video that installed washers under the seat mounting pan bolted to the floor and tried that, even though I didn't see how that could possibly affect the latch height or engagement. Did not work. So today, I folded the seat down...
