Strut boot has tear, how bad?

Was doing spark plugs today and while removing front wheel, noticed the "boot" on strut/coil assemble has a big tear in it. Will be ordering a replacement part, but meanwhile wondering what's it's purpose? It doesn't hold air as in the back right? So what happens with the suspension when the...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Did spark plugs and wires today, was surprisingly much easier than i thought! Took passenger wheel off and all 4 were breeze to remove boot and wire from wheel well. Idle is much better now, but small needle movement still exists in Drive at stand still. Needle moves between 500-600rpm and...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Changed air compressor today, rides waaaaay smoother. Funny enough previous owner or shop put dorman shocks brand new but compressor was never replaced, very old and rusted. Was also going to do plugs and wires, sounded like a 10min job like on my old f150. Opened the hood, looked at #8 and...

How reliable are power running boards?

My new to me denali had power running boards at some point as the wire connectors are dangling on both sides. I’m thinking to install some boards for kids to get in easier and not sure whether to get regular boards at amazon or find used power boards from wrecked denali/escalades. Anybody...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Change tranny oil today and o2 sensor. I wanted to try cleaning the o2 first, but I couldn’t get it out without heating and breaking it apart, looks it was never changed in 130k miles, so off to amazon i was. 5min cleaning job turned into an hour of heating and banging :D On a good note while...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

Was thinking of replacing o2 sensor this morning, it throws an error every 400km roughly. Called two local part stores, both said 120 plus tax CAD for downstream sensor. I asked if they were joking, guess I’ll be ordering all 4 sensors for under 100 from rockauto. Love canadian car and boat...

New to me 08, had it for 2 weeks now. Drives great, but i noticed it’s quite rough on some bumps. Checked RPO and it has Z55, but I don’t hear compressor running when i start the car. Small fuel tank?

Thanks folks! Will try charcoal canister to begin with and see if the issue persists and what else. Wonder if gauge is also borked then? Since i fill 20 gal and the gauge shows almost full, indicating maybe another gallon or two could fit at most

    Small fuel tank?

Got a new to me 2008 XL Denali. The tank seems to be smaller than in tech papers and i cant fill it full, any ideas? Emptied it down to 30miles remaining with light on. Filled 20.5 gallons and it wouldn’t let me go further. Gauge shows 3/4 and a half. Last few fillings same, won’t let me go...

Denali - Driver side cushion feels like leaning left

Denali 08, it feels like the driver side cushion has been “sit on” more and slightly leans left or at least feels like it. Any suggestions on how to fix this? So far I’m thinking: - Just drive longer, takes time to get used - Hit then gym you ******
