    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

That reminds me, couple of times after cold startup, pulling away semi-aggressively, thought I heard belt chirp.. Took off accessory belt. idler/tensioner/waterpump/alt/steering all smooth and free. Unless it's the AC compressor... I do have a new AC belt and could cut the old one off...

Yep! .6 grams per cylinder! here is a log file in post #3 ... https://forum.hptuners.com/showthread.php?110791-Stock-2012-5-3-severe-knock-retard! About the transmission being in a gear it's not supposed to. Are we talking hardware failure?

    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

No more misfires! STILL bogs, still knock retards. I was watching the Tech2, and individual cylinder knock rarely came up, when it did, they all lit up. But even without individual cylinder knock, there was still knock retard.? (Unless it happened so fast I missed it) Engine back to being...

EXCEPT, I have a previous log before I pulled the plugs and it has a "total misfires" count. Only lit up a couple misfires here and there, not missing when the knock retard is going. Currently it misses a ton, going to get that plug now.. Thanks for the help, I may need that scanner profile yet!

Buzzing Noise at Rear Speakers 2007 Tahoe/Suburban

I wonder if the aftermarket radio is powering the amp or driving speakers directly? Line output or speaker output to amp may affect noise level too? What I have found, when hitting the RSA button, the rear radio outputs go full volume. Amp probably mutes rear speakers and redirect output to...

I got a good look at the 3rdcat and it looks very clear.. Did NOT chevk primaries, but the 02 sensor data looks good? (Secondary o2's mirror primary o2s instantly) This should be it. Must have broken it putting it back in? I inspected all the plugs/ceramics before.. hmmm. I also did drop one...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It's a balancing act for sure.. "preventative maintenance" vs. "if it ain't broke.. "

Pulling those wires can be tough! I grabbed some regular pliers which help. I put old (2-3 years) wires and plugs back on, but swapped some around. Also tried some of my OEM wires I have left over. Engine idles/revs smoothly minus the occasional miss at idle.. I listened with a stethoscope for...

    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

OK, not sure if I didn't check properly, or if I introduced a new problem after pulling the plugs, but the Tech2 is showing me MISFIRES on cyl 2! It seemed to idle rougher this morning, but the Tech 2 did show about 6.0 g/s MAF signal at idle. Not sure why the reading was higher before...

    2014 Yukon slow acceleration

WOW!, that sounds like my problem exactly! (rattling sound you hear is probably setting off your knock sensors which will retard timing) In my case, the sensor readings look good, plugs and wires look good. Getting to the coils and knock sensor.. I also have severe knock retard (upto 16...

Thinking it mybe a coil as well... pulled plugs, looked normal. If anything 4,6, and 8 had a little less soot around the edges. bottom right is cylinder 1, top left cyl 8. Plug wires ohm'd out at .385-.410, -EXCEPT!- one wire at .765. I had 3 left over OEM wires which all came in at...

It also bogs in Manual modes... (misfires w/no code?) Bogs under load. Don't think it is tune related (happened out of the blue). I did try reflashing a stockish tune. I'm also thinking (hoping) something simple. I'll check the coils/plugs/wires next.. (2 year old OEM Delco iridiums from...

No sir.. but I did watch the pedal and throttle blade percentages in the Tech 2, and they both moved accordingly. Other reason I don't think it's the throttle blade, when I do hit the gas and it bogs, you still hear the intake resonate.. Also can free rev motor fine.. Do get 3deg knock retard...

Downpipe to muffler clamp bolt. (1/2" head) Wire brushed it. Soaked twice, finally got a big enough ratchet on there, plenty of space. Doesn't look broken, seems fine at a glance but looking closer zoomed in.. It is also rather white I wonder if it's coolant? Hoping I can get away with...

I guess I'll consider myself lucky if it's a cat.. If only one rear one, even better! Hot out, might be a couple days before I get to it. Mean time I'll soak the exhaust bolts.. might think about doing the exhaust manifold as well.. fingers crossed..

Cleaned MAF, no change! Starting to wonder if my cat's are clogged.. truck really struggles to pull from a stop. Smooth but plugged up feeling. Another log showing O2 fluctuations and what looks like 6 knock retards ending in 5 knock retard events.

Will do! (Never cleaned) While my MAF readings look consistent from ane acceleration to another, with only some accelerations knocking. This video around 11:00 minute marks shows adjusting the knock sensitivity based on MAF and RPM. As you say if my readings are so off, it could be moving into...

Yep, it's bogging so it's accelerating slow. Hard to imagine bad O2's can make it run so bad. Idle's and revs fine. Hope I didn't wreck the trans somehow by tweaking the settings... Pulled out of driveway, accelerated down street, first stop sign major bog. Bog it at 40% throttle, push to 90%...

Thanks all. Here is a screenshot of datalog. LT and ST fuel trims seem to fluctuate from -12% to +3%. Forgot I removed the O2 sensor polling, will do another log soon.. knock retard -13.7 degrees on the cursor. Not sure if false knock, or something bogging the engine down and it's actual knock.
