    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

Thanks for the help! Still runs like poop. 8.5 g/sec at hot idle. Driving it spikes up to 130 g/sec, i never went past 71% throttle that run. Knock retard upto 13.5 degrees.. whenever over 45g/sec in 1st or second gear.. Just doesn't feel right like there is an ebrake on, or worse. Looking at...

    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

totally missed that! Thanks. I will have to investigate more. I find it odd there were no codes or misfires and yet it drove like it did. Could retarded timing do that or a VVT failure? I haven't found any clues.

    ECU software

In fact the 2015ppv shifts a tiny bit earlier in some gears, guessing because of smaller tires. Speed limit might be set in the BCM of PPV's, and can be overidden with an ECM tune. If you're 4WD you don't have a PPV.

    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

Just happened today.. ~85-90 degrees Fahrenheit. Has been 110 degrees lately, gonna be 112 for a couple more days.. Drove about 15 mins to my uncle's. No issues. Leaving 45 mins later, the Tahoe (2012, 5.3) feels like it's in REP mode pulling away from every stop, until I get around 20mph and...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

I have heard of no exhaust manifold gaskets working in some cases.. ('88 turbocoupe) and it sounds like coppercoat on the headgasket is a common enough.. But I always get new gaskets on everything cause I'm a scaredy cat. Looks like gasket there? (If you were asking?)

    2011 tahoe ds lower hinge

Please let us know how the hinge replacement goes! My roller was like Solli5pack's, where it was flat spotted and would pop everytime. I pried out the spring to stop the noise, and bought a replacement hinge. But after seeing Dorman repair kit, I will likely get that instead of painting and...

HP Tuner for 2016 Tahoe L83/6L80

Only first gear did not lock on my 2012. With 4th disabled, there was too much slippage when getting back on the throttle after lifting. That's with my 3.08 gears! I honestly like the locked feeling, but seeing as how you rarely stay in 1,2,3 very long.. There are conditions where it helps. A...

Toyota's might be expensive, but it doesn't seem like Chevy parts are any cheaper than Toyota parts..

6l80 tcc slip tuning stock clutch

Just noticed 2010 Avalanche/tahoe/yukon/etc? apply ramps are more aggressive in same areas like the 2012 2500 apply ramps, but without the lower values that the 2500 tune has! (Versus 2011+ tahoe/yukon/suburban tunes) The early tune looks more evenly gradiated. more decimals, I should have...

use the OEM backup cam with a new head unit

The onstar module is located under your console switches/hvac/radio. There is a plastic surround that holds it in place. Removing it takes a bit of squeezing, but you maybe able to pull the harness without removing if needed. Deleting it completely requires you to splice two pairs of wires. (tan...

    Tie down locations?

Thought about making a bracket that bolts on top of the rear seat mount that can be used as a tie down bar along the back of the 2nd row seats.. But I've been thinking more about a drawer setup lately....

6l80 tcc slip tuning stock clutch

Comparing my 2012 Tahoe to a 2012 silverado 2500 6.0.. TCC regulator gain and offset the same. TCC slip is a little different, stock 2012 Tahoe below TCC slip for the 2500 is 20rpms for the entire map except the highest torque row which is set to 10rpms. 2018 silverado slip settings, similar...

6l80 tcc slip tuning stock clutch

I set my gain to .375 and also lowered my slip tables drastically, which did not feel right. reset slip tables to stock 2018 settings and set gain to 1.0, which feels fine, possibly faster lockup? I think having no slip at low torque settings, plus the .375 gain made the TCC lock/unlock very...

Value question: OEM manifolds or shorty headers?

^^ X2 ^^ Same part number I bought, but without the 'HP' (03133) Not stainless. So kinda hoping the M10 - 1.50 is the right thread size!

    AFM

You might consider having the ECM programmed. (cheaper and no chance of accidentally unplugging it) Spending a bit more, transmission tuning can help with the boggy feeling. (at least with a 3.08 rearend)

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

The outside temp sensor is in front of radiator on a little bracket more on the passenger side I believe.. Looks like it can be either driver or passenger side depending on options.

Random Misfire after Overheating 2013Yukon Denali 6.2L

I agree with Fless, get a good scanner on it. Can it still have good compression with a dropped guide? Kind of sounds like it might be electrical.. Plug wires? Dirty grounds?

    Steering rack bushings worn?

Nice video! I have lateral movement on my passenger bushing, but did not check for axial movement while steering. In my case, I get a slight clunk if I make faster than slow u-turn, and I seem to have extra outside edge tire wear so I probably have the same type of movement. Personally leaning...

Pulled TCM fuse on a 2011 Chevy Tahoe.

Neat, sounds like a way to reset the adaptives without a scantool? If you have slop in the drivetrain (bad motor mounts) I suspect can cause bad 'learning'.

    Rear AC blowing hot

sounds about right might have to loosen/remove another screw or two to tilt the case inwards to reach actuator. Not bad at all. Might try disconnecting battery for a bit to so it will attempt a relearn possibly giving brief control depending on failure type..
