    2018 BlackWidow Tahoe Premier

$23K? Yeah, no. Have it properly diagnosed at a well-reviewed local independent shop, or buy a good bi-directional scan tool and come back here to share the codes it gives you. Misfires on these rigs can be anything from a broken coil wire, to a bad plug, to a loose fuel injector connector, to a...

Welcome to the forum! We need some additional information: Does your truck have the Magneride (Z95) suspension package? If so, rock auto is the best place to buy replacements: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=8928124&cc=3438504&pt=7556&jsn=510 For brakes, I'm a fan of the Powerstop...

    Chevrolet Suburban 3500 Questions

Today's task: replacing the original batteries over lunch. Although most auto parts store configurators showed only the 94R battery for this rig, it actually has two different batteries. A size 94R and a size 48, from the factory. Walmart was out of stock on the Platinum (AGM) for both, so I...

Proposal for an tune on my Tahoe 5.3 2007 LTZ (Germany) with LPG system

Yes, the higher RPMs definitely take some getting used to - especially with the 4-speed transmission in the 2007 5.3 rigs. It's a bit better with the 6-speeds in the later model years. I find that towing in 4th with the 6L80 is the sweet spot with my two Yukon XL Denali's. It holds 2800 RPMs...

    Chevrolet Suburban 3500 Questions

Just a pic from the weekend and a few observations: After towing the camper out past Charlottesville, plus a bunch of driving around before and after, I was down to 1/4 tank, and filled it with 87, just to see how it would perform. I had previously filled it with 93, so I thought it would be...

    V4/V8 issues

For better or worse, we all started out knowing very little. In college, I knew how to change oil and that was about it. But, necessity proved to be a great (if often impatient) teacher. :p My dad worked with the very early ENIAC computers at the end of WWII, and told the story of how the...

Proposal for an tune on my Tahoe 5.3 2007 LTZ (Germany) with LPG system

Hello Markus, nice to see you here again. Doing the math to convert your numbers to the ancient English system we sadly still use here in the US, I calculate an equivalent of 8.41 mpg. Given that LPG consumption is typically 84% of petrol consumption in vehicles, I calculate that you're getting...

    AC line replace or block?

Good luck! I had a local GMC dealer repair my 2012 after it got hit from the left while parked several years ago. They did a good job fitting everything back together right.

    AC line replace or block?

If it's covered by your warranty, then it's a no-brainer. Have it fixed right.

There is a lot of good information on here about this topic. All of it took time for us to write and refine, as a group. Please honor that effort, and us, by using the search function to find and review the information available. Short answer: 1/ You can buy a Range device that plugs into your...

Chevy Tahoe 2018 Engine 5.3l. Engine belt

No. The belt turns the water pump, which is necessary to keep the engine cool, even for a mile. Driving it risks cylinder, head cracking. I have it towed, or cut the belt, unwrap it, and replace it yourself if you have the time and skills.

    Chevrolet Suburban 3500 Questions

Cooled seats in the 2nd row? I would imagine that would only be enabled by programming if it wasn’t a feature from the factory, and the wiring may not be there for the cooling part on an LT. My second row is heated but neither from or second row are cooled on the 3500’s.

    2007 Denali Radiator Question

Check what's in there visually. If you have an engine oil cooler in yours, you will have lines coming out of the top and bottom of the end tank on the drivers side. The transmission cooler has lines coming out of the end tank on the pax side. That said, there is no downside to having a cooler...

For mine, they only have the Maxx and the Platinum, but the difference is only $20, so it's not significant. I'm just gun shy about AGM's, having had 4 of them die after only 2 years or less, in other cars.
