Cooling fans coming on max after cold engine start, stays on till engine shutdown

I was having this problem on my 2012 also a few months ago, yet the dash gauge was staying steady. Changing the ECT solved the problem.

Clunk when accelerating after coasting at 80 km/h, and clunk when reapplying gas after coasting from 40 km/h to 60 km/h

Sounds like that travel through the frame and you feel it in the seat. My money is still on motor mounts or front diff mounts. The transfer cases in these also develop play in the chain as the miles accumulate. My 2007 AWD XL Denali has a wicked clunk in the driveline from the play in the...

Clunk when accelerating after coasting at 80 km/h, and clunk when reapplying gas after coasting from 40 km/h to 60 km/h

First symptom will be difficulty getting fuel into the tank without the pump handle constantly clicking off.

Clunk when accelerating after coasting at 80 km/h, and clunk when reapplying gas after coasting from 40 km/h to 60 km/h

Welcome! You didn't say whether yours is an AWD Denali or not, but if so then Don is spot on. To his comment I'll add motor mounts - most likely the drivers side. They're fluid filled and when they go, they leak a corrosive fluid that stains the area below them orange. You can check them by...

What did you do to your NNBS GMT900 Tahoe/Yukon Today?

It is, but it could be different at full speed. It's a scroll style compressor so if it's loaded with too much oil (for example, thanks to one of those parts store R134a cans), then it may be binding at speed.

So this just happened...is it bad?

My preference has always been a local transmission shop with stellar reviews. I'm lucky to have one of those within 10 miles of me, and they did fantastic work on my 2012.

    Bought core block

I would replace the cam plate anyway as that gasket will not last as long as a new one at this point. And after all that work, it would be silly to not put new lifters in.

Tons of play in rear end

How many miles on it? You may need to upload the video to YouTube and post a link here.

    BOGGING BADLY! - SOLVED

For it to be bogging so badly, it would have to be something that affects multiple coil packs at the same time, like a common ground. But I'm skeptical of poor spark as the root cause theory. Could there be something else restricting the exhaust like a mouse of some other critter having set up...

Sage advice based on the description of what’s happening.

    2013 Yukon Engine Knock...

Hmmmm...wonder if it coincides with v4 mode activation. Either way, I agree with the others here. Time to tear into it and fix it right. New non-AFM cam, lifters. Doable in a weekend if you have the tools.

Bypassing vapor canister hose (aka bane of my existence...)

Do it! I did it on both of mine proactively. For me it's an every 5-6 year maintenance item now, and I'm also careful to never overfill the tank. But our driveway is sloped so there is always a chance of the canister getting soaked when the tank is merely full, I figure.

    Perfecto! Thanks for the follow-up.

    Power Liftgate Grinding Sound

That gear and clutch assembly is a pretty common failure item. Many local parts stores even carry the Dorman replacement part. https://a.co/d/0hfT5vWU It fit my 2012 despite saying it didn't.

2009 Yukon Denali AWD High Transmission Temps - SOLVED

Yes, I understand that. But his temps are normal for just the plain ol' truck with nothing in tow. I mentioned the towing information because 1/ they show how much more headroom he has for transmission fluid temps before he needs to worry. And, 2/ they show what happens closer to the limits with...

2009 Yukon Denali AWD High Transmission Temps - SOLVED

I experimented with this a few years ago. When I added my Derale cooler to my 2012, I first cut the radiator end tank cooler out of the loop. The result was much higher transmission fluid temperatures when cresting a mountain pass we frequently tow over on hot days (260ºF). I plumbed the end...

2009 Yukon Denali AWD High Transmission Temps - SOLVED

The Trucool 40K seems to work great on 5.3 rigs, but not on 6.2's when towing heavy. See my post above.

2009 Yukon Denali AWD High Transmission Temps - SOLVED

Yes, I believe so. I attribute it to having the transmission fluid coolers so intricately tied to the engine cooling system. The factory external transmission cooler sits in front of the radiator, dumping heat there, and the hot fluid exiting the transmission flows first through the end tank on...

2009 Yukon Denali AWD High Transmission Temps - SOLVED

Completely normal. The system is working as intended. I have studied this particular topic to death and there is a lot of incorrect information on transmission fluid items out there. Here is GM's guidance on it: xxxx In the February 2011 issue of Trailer Life magazine RV Clinic in response to...

    Gas leak

Buy Genuine GM only, from rock auto or other known good source. Amazon doesn't count - lots of counterfeit GM parts on there. Rock Auto will have the application right. I believe the '07 fuel system still has a return line to the tank, and later models are returnless. So that's probably why it's...

    2013 Tahoe LS Radiator(s)?

Supply chain integrity is the reason I choose Rock Auto, or a local parts store. Beware Amazon and eBay sellers passing off counterfeits as originals.

    Radiator flush

GM says Dexcool is good for 5 years or 150K miles, whichever comes first, so you're due on that basis alone. But I also agree with Ron that 50K miles is a good rule, and it's my personal guideline for all of my vehicles as well.

2016 Yukon SLT-Hot engine towing up steep 7 mile grade

As a fellow heavy camper puller, I feel your pain. But in my opinion, if the coolant didn't boil (~260ºF), then you likely did no damage. But I also agree that something else is going on there for coolant temp to get that hot on a 5.3 towing up a 7% grade. I do that often here over the...
