Thank you for that info... I've always experienced that lugging the engine results
in less mpg and more wear/ heat as well with gas engines. I used to tow this rig
with my 1994 C1500 ext cab.. It has more power than my 6.2 and a 4L80e trans.
Lugging it in 4th OD and rpm'ing it in 3rd gear...
I've got my PE coming in at 60 kpa. And it's a bit lower multiple than the stock settings.
I've watched my LT fuel trims and WideBand in real time while towing. ..It's hard to
closely watch both sometimes
while I'm driving slower than the semi traffic !!!!
Like I mentioned, it's only when...
I had thought about my ignition timing maps too as well.
Maybe in 4th gear since it's a lighter Throttle Position I've got
a little too much advance (or not enough??).. I'm not having any
detonation issues in either gear. Although my total timing in real time
hangs out around 32-38* in 4th...
2014 denali 6.2. Modded for towing purposes. Mods in signature.
Big radiator. Big trans pan. External trans cooler with fan...
It's strange to me that it runs warmer in 4th gear vs 5th gear lugging.
The newer stuff like your 10 speed is gooood stuff !!
Can only tune it back to its original IF they kept the original "read" file..
I've downloaded the "stock" tunes from the HP repository just to compare stuff and
it seems like it's a bit different at time too... So getting the original would be the best
and then do your mods from there...
You are on the right track there !!!
As long as you are using the non dod valley plate and the correct gasket
you don't need to "plug" those holes..
That cam will need some tuning... Won't even start probably on factory tune.
That 107 LS is going to change the airflow model quite a bit... You...
My guess is that the new trans is just the stock calibrations.. And that whomever tuned
the vehicle last year did some of the normal mods thru HPTuners that makes the
6L80E a "nice" transmission to have. (personally imo the factory settings suck!)
So my trans is getting hotter than I want while towing in the summer weather...
This has been discussed and I've given advice to many on this. My mods are in my sig
I tow a bumper pull camper at around 60-65 mph. It's BIG. 8500 lbs.. 32ft
When ambient temps are under 85* it's fine... but...
My 14 with HPTuners lets me program shift points, TCC lockup, etc separately
as 2 diff tables between TOW mode and Reg Drive mode.
The adapts and all that stuff in the general settings are the same
I put my shift points in the Drive mode to more what the Tow mode was from
the factory as my...
I think that's just standard NTP threads. Should be able to find
that tap anywhere. Or just go up to next size and get a new nipple (prob brass)
from local hardware store.
IDK the fram #'s at all.. I've been using the wix 57045 for several years
on several diff gm 900's ... It's a little taller than the oe filter with the
same specs. You can cross that over to fram, might help
I missed it too!!!
Just got done doing a 600 mile round trip towing my camper...
Trans ran a bit hotter than I wanted when the ambient temps were over 90*
so I'm looking a doing some measuring and replacing my current derale
hyper cool with the newest hyper cool extreme.... if it will fit
You'll need your original tuner to update to their custom settings from before
the trans failure. GM just put it back to stock... but it should still not "clunk" imo
Yup. Right on the money Geotrash
Get the $35 ARP balancer bolt. Put a bit of blue loctite on the threads
and hit it with and impact.. No need to hold the crank still. Just make sure
you are familiar with what that particular impact does.
I used my impact that I generally use for installing...
You have done all the things that "could" be worn....
except now to me it's pretty clear that you have worn bearings
Could be cam bearings only, but also mains and rod bearing could
have more clearance than new spec so you'd be losing oil pressure there.
10-40 psi is just fine... Just run it...
It's just not shift "pressures" that determine how it shifts.
There are engine and transmission torque tables that have to be addressed.
Either go back to your Diablo CMR tuner or get with Lew as suggested if y
you want to keep the Diablo. Otherwise HPT or BB as suggested by Geo

This is what I looked up on RA. 220 amp for 2020
Is this a direct fit (2014 denali 6.2) ?????
Because that is a smokin deal for a high amp alternator
