    Towing

https://www.etrailer.com/Weight-Distribution-Hitch/Fastway/FA94-00-1061.html Here is a fastway that's cheaper . Make sure you get the new ball as they only work with the specific system. You prob don't need the 4 point sway with that camper. The 2 point sway is prob just fine I only did...

    Towing

What you are referring to as "sway bars" are not.. They are weight distribution bars. If you are using 15K WDH (weight dist hitch) for a 6K trailer, you prob will never get it in the sweet spot. You could sell that set and go to a 7500 or 10,000 lb system and be way better off... Then...

Engine and gearbox swap from four speed to six or eight speed on 2008 Z71 ?

Just my 2 cents... the 8 speed is a POS... some of it due to design, some due to programming etc... Too many problems to waste your time and money on

Cold Air Intake for the most power??

I've tried diff ones on my Yuk and on several other cars over the years. I finally decided on the MIT tube only for the Yukon... The OE filter box IS A CAI !!!! I have a good " green filter" in there (it came with my supercharger that is now gone)... I've looked at my IAT's quite a bit...

    Supercharging

Air temps are fairly high, but less than with the roots charger... I don't have an intercooler on my Chevy1500. It's a 94 stepside that is still controlled with the oe obd1 (yuck).. Im around 600ft (kansas city area). I did my first RaceWeek - rockymountainraceweek at elevation last october...

    Supercharging

Best fuel around here is 91 and that's with 10% ethanol. Gotta take into account that the "boost" is gonna be lower on a 6.2 than a 5.3 I only get about 9 psi with my vortech and pullied to the hilt on my SBC 422 ci. But it's got great heads/ etc and lots of displacement. You prob understand...

    Supercharging

It measured out to max of about 6 psi on my boost gauge... Even at tip in throttle it would go zero vacuum and 1-3 psi boost on my gauge just normal driving.. I think that's why my MPG was so bad. Due to the PCM wanting to richen things up too fast

    Supercharging

I did notice a difference of course. I did the headers and high flow cats at the same time. I miss the low end power the SC provides. Just could not live with the horrible MPG

Front suspension Torque procedure for 07 Yukon Denali

Weight should be on the suspension - Loaded - and then snug up your control arm bolts. otherwise they will bind up in "jacked up" position - not good !!

Ready to pull trigger on Derale trans cooler - need advice

Just for more info.. I did not open up my lower bumper/grill for my derale with the fan. I figured I would IF Needed.. but haven't needed it. It's at an angle anyway pointing down a bit. I didn't want to blow hot air UP into the engine compartment. There's a decent amount of dead air space...

    Supercharging

Yes, my chassis dyno numbers kinda sucked... And my IAT's were stupid high all the time. So I suppose that's why the tuning is so involved. My edelbrock system even has a water to air intercooler. I tried looking for a bigger intercooler but the one provided was such a nice fit... And a big...

    Supercharging

Had the Edelbrock E-Force Roots/Magnuson style... I liked it but MPG was horrible and my tuner at the time couldn't get MPG acceptable... Long story short I tried a methanol injection kit so we could put some timing back in it... Didn't have the settings right and sucked down way too much...

    Supercharging

Trans won't hold up at all.. 4L60e with miles on it... stock.. Yikes You'd be better off and cheaper doing the usual hot rod stuff to it Headers, Camshaft (truck stage 1), Cylinder head work while they're off. And of course a tune. Save some money up for that transmission to get it rebuilt...

Axle ratio to tire size input needed

Just google 6l80e gear ratios.. 5th and 6th are both OD ratios You'll want at least 3.42 gears.. But with the 5.3 I'd personally go with 3.73 . It's kinda pricey doing front and rear. I have 3.42's with stock height tires.. I'd like a bit deeper like 3.73, but I don't have experience...

    6L80 video for 1000+ hp

No one really would say it would hold together for my 6.2L with supercharger towing my 9500 lb camper... I'm sure if I wasn't towing they would have said OK. Couple of places just said use a 4l80e... I was NOT going to do that. Circle D had all the good parts in their stage 3 kit. Had to...

    Clock Has No Display

I just was never able to find an exact match to my system in any of the videos that I found online. So maybe like you said they were all from pickups, not Yukons. The systems were very close, but not the same. Never found a "hidden" menu on mine. But it's working now, so oh well !!!

    6L80 video for 1000+ hp

Yeah I'm pretty sure CTS were almost all 6l90E's (maybe depending on year mode) and the 3/4 ton trucks got the 6l90e as well... Not a whole lot of difference between the 80 & 90 as far as what I've seen. Just a bit more HD (barely)

    Clock Has No Display

Thank You !! I googled it but came up with only 2007-2013 stuff.. Apparently my 2014 is a bit different - close, but diff So I took my laptop out to the Yuk to try some of the things suggested... And whatch know, It's all working normally now.... Crazy electronics Still don't know why it...

    6L80 video for 1000+ hp

Good Video.. When I looked around to find a builder for my 6l80E in 2020 no-one would even say it would hold together with 550HP. (towing heavy, heavy SUV) I went with the Circle D hard parts... But I think they can hold up in cars that are a lot lighter than our stuff and of course not...

    Engine Misfire in V8 mode

    Clock Has No Display

So today I'm driving and I notice NO CLOCK display on my screen.. It's a denali with the XM radio and (outdated) navigation. I went to settings and I can "beep" it up and down to set time, but nothing there changes or displays a number. When I turn everything to OFF.. Then there is a clock...

TCC line pressure (vs load) causes TCC slip

I did the basic changes with slip. And NO tcc in 1-3 gears.. only 4th over 44 mph. 5 & 6 gears... My shift tables are way UP in mph.. stock sucks.. I don't even command 6th until 64 mph... I also have the circle D highest stage parts in mine and they recommend NOT changing pressures, etc...

    Bad alternator?

Could also just be a poor replacement part that doesn't play well with the OE programming... I went with an original GM part when I did mine a couple years ago due to the bad comments on the aftermarket parts store's replacements
