    Agree. A head gasket wouldn’t really be that big a job, and unless it caused catastrophic damage, should certainly not condemn the engine. Maybe he wants a 6.0..

    I’d check the wheel speed sensors on the 2 front wheels. Especially since someone was just in there doing brakes. You may also have air in the brake lines / and pump, but you didn’t mention anything about the abs light, so maybe not. The speed sensors are known for getting dirty / corroded.

    Got the window regulator in yesterday, and had time today to get it replaced. Good as new.

    Guess it’s time.. https://www.eaton.com/us/en-us/skuPage.913A481.specifications.html ETA: Last summer she was spinning both easily, unexpectedly really, but something must have given up between then and now. Only thing changed was that I installed the girdled cover and changed the fluid.

    I’ve been building up my tool set via Hobo Fraught, and Tekton mostly the last couple months. Can’t beat their prices with a stick! And the quality of the Quinn, and Icon tools is vastly improved over the older stuff and the Pittsburgh line.

    It’s hasn’t been used much. I thought all the G80 were mechanical, rather than using any clutches. ETA: reading up and watching some videos of the function of it makes a lot more sense.     Sounds like the Stabilitrak / ABS is applying pressure. There should be some wheel speed sensors in the front wheels. They like to get corroded / dirty. I’d be looking at those.

    As has been pointed out, a flashing CEL indicates a misfire, and that is definitely not something you want to drive around and ignore. You need to get some kind of scanner on there, which will likely point you to a cylinder, or multiple cylinders. From there, you can swap coils around, to see if...
