i went from a 6l80 to a 4l80, different plugs for sure.
if he has a 4l60 going to 4l80, i think the plugs are the same but there may be a pin or two to move. or like BBT says i think you can command the solenoids to shift in the order needed in the tune to work for a 4l80
transmission is...
ordered a new expansion valve and dryer for the chiller
there was a little bit of junk on the orifice valve when i changed it out - thinking the txv may also have some junk in it and chiller doesnt seem to be working so well.
ordered another bmw pump for the intercooler. it was a little stinky...
Drive over well, i think the only casualty is the intercooler pump. It hangs right above where the resonator is all the way back by the tail pipe
Never had problems with before and have driven just as far before...but I'm thinking with weight of trailer it made exhaust closer to it or the...
alright,
couple hours in the office this morning and got a few things done.
came home, warmed yukon up, put a brick on the gas pedal, turned intercooler pump and dash ac way up (drives the pressure high) was getting over 300psi prob worse than ever cause not moving is just the fans pulling air...
TSP should obviously know better than I, but 227/239 seems like a lot of cam in one of these . i ran a 218/228 iirc vvt cam, .600/.600 lift in mine for 60k+ miles, with upgraded springs.
the only way youre going to stay close to off idle, stock cam power is by increasing the lift
went n found...
sucks mikey
wish you were closer you could grab the core ive got sitting here and rebuild it before having to rip yours out. it, as far as i know, still goes 1-2-3. after that it just free revs, not sure if clutches or drum or what is junk. never thought there was much wrong with it just havent...
im just dragging trailer across state
bofadeez will be loaded on it and we're going to see @pwtr02ss
the trailer probably weighs more than both of them
Converter is not optimized for towing
Prob rides better with the weight but it def feels it back there
for the freon charge... i think i need to have it in park and just rev to 2500rpm and see what the gauges say and adjust from there i prob shouldve done that a long time ago cause...
efd in the a.
first i thought swapping the ac pulley was going to be easy, cause the ati bolts together and leaves a hub on the crank...but the ac pulley goes behind that hub so i ended up having to pull the whole thing off the crank anyway :emotions122:
the 337 stretch belt i got worked out as...
ordered a coupe stretch belts for the ac and picked them up from oriellys, also dug thru my stash and found a few more - i have like 5 or 6 total, also found an ac belt tensioner (pre stretch years) so i should be able to make something work. ive got the stretch belt tool around here somewhere...
It's all starting to come together
also, another question some of you guys who tow a lot may know - @Geotrash ? i bought a cheap 7pin plug tester cause i havent towd with this thing since it was stock height years ago. didnt want any surprises. all the lights test out good...

front brakes done, rear brakes done over the weekend..went out and bed them all in after i got done with fronts.
not sure if theres actually a procedure - i usually do a handful of progressively harder...

hopefully i can get it on with a belt this weekend, hoping that solves a whole lot of my problems.
intake pipe not scheduled to be delivered...
pretty good news day.
ATI emailed me back said they make a 7.45 and a 6.24 ac pulley that will work. not too sure what size the one i have is and too lazy to go measure but i think its real close to 7.45. so ordering the 6.24" to swap, will have to find a stretch belt or use the tensioner, no...
