Doesn't have much to do with the type of cam, unless it's ground on a smaller base circle or some weird shit but cammotion is using new blanks so no reason to.
like @iamdub said above most dod kits will come with 7.400s or reuse stock...but it should be checked or verified during installation...

2wd? makes scooting the trans back 10x easier
the RMS itself comes complete with the rear plate and takes about 10min to swap
why are you saying the part numbers wont work? i did this 5>6lug conversion on a c1500 20 years ago. probably wasnt those exact part numbers but a few mins on rockauto should be able to find the right rotors

there's one of these F150s up my way, huge fenders/wheels bumpers etc...when you really look at it they half assed every single piece to get the look they wanted. wheels have huge wheel spacers that change it to 8lug, theres about 3 different lift blocks on the tiny rear axle. didnt get a chance...
its just unlikely that out of the blue a single plug is the culprit. it may be the first cyl bad enough to throw the code. you described it as roasted/burnt- can you determine if its oil or fuel?
checking the rest of the plugs, if theyre all black on that bank its likely a bad o2 sensor or...
what trans?
8sp i probably wouldnt worry about it
6l80 with (im not even sure if they still do) 3.08 gears i definitely would say yea. with the 3.42s it would give it some more pep but not so noticeable, just make sure the trans tuning is good it still has some pretty short 1-2 gears
