Looking to purchase a set of 07-14 PPV wheels for a 99 Yukon. How many options were there and what’s the best place to look for a set. I guess lastly which probably should be firstly, would fitment be an issue?
Went to check on the sensor harness near the exhaust for condition and all was good but one thing led to another and wound up refurbishing my spare and scraped and wire brushed the rust on the bottom. Hit it with a rattle can for now as I rarely drive in snow/salt
Looks like I have some investigating to do this weekend. I should be able to see if connected properly just by rolling underneath and inspecting or does anything need to be removed to inspect it? Not having any problems and hope to keep it this way…
I wish I had many different options but there aren’t a lot of vehicles made for 6’8 300lbs guys out there. Whenever I see 5ft tall soccer moms climbing, (that’s what it looks like) out of one of these I giggle a childish giggle each time.
I’m waiting on my son to do this for me. I tried downloading music once in the old days, had to get a new computer and have been kind of scarred since. Watching YouTube’s of the process makes it seem so simple but the trauma makes me feel like I will find the one way to screw the pooch on this lol
It’s amazing how much more attention was paid to his complaint than his original question. lol Newbies should just frame questions in ways that offend long term members to get the quickest and most attention on their threads.
Try using the search feature to see if any threads exist referencing your problem. If you see anybody that might be able to help with your problem ‘tag’ them (@ and type the members name) to a post in your thread. Sometimes it’s hard to get the ball rolling around here lol. I don’t know a lot...
I saw a couple cool ideas on YT for a zip tie fix.
How much disassembly is required. I’m going to do this before summer is over. I got wrap for the window frames and fog lights but may go with painting instead. If I paint a grill I’ll probobly paint, but with a grill like yours I think wrapping...
Yup, 2015 Yukon. Something def seems broken tab/clip wise. When I get it back in place the bottom carpeted part is never flush. The passenger side, pic attached, is flush at the bottom.
A niche buyer will pay for it, a regular car shopper is most likely scared off by the numerous modifications. Need to be very mechanically inclined, the average shop would probably mangle a repair on that rig.
IMO the push for electric vehicles without a push for a solar and wind powered charging infrastructure leads me to believe it ain’t about the environment.
It’s more semantics. I spoke to the mechanic and he said he doesn’t consider draining the torque converter as a flush. In a flush he would use a machine to manually remove the fluid while using an additive that is used for flushing. I still trust him lol
It was actually a transmission shop that specializes in transmissions lol. Someone had a good expirience with them and I trusted their experience. When I got there the mechanic drove a 1/2 ton GM truck almost same year as mine. Figured I was good, go figure.
Ok. I have to check my mechanic then. He declined to flush the transmission and did a drain a fill with filter. It sounds like he got me for a nice piece of change for a not really useful procedure.
