just wanna cover the threads, it does come with a cap but that is just for shipping purposes so the thread don't get damaged. just slides on top of the threads, and held down when the lid of box is closed.
I have one in stock and checked it out, but still has the thread. i don't think GM would make 2 of the same water pumps and make one with/without threads for a fan clutch.
In the process of the fan swap, i also changed out the:
water pump w/gaskets
oem thermostat
valve cover gaskets/grommets
power washed/cleaned engine bay
and replaced some broken retainers/clips with new oem parts
Only thing i couldn't do was the front main seal. Damn bolt was stuck on there, so...
