    Please help- P0455 Evap Emission

When the engine is turned on, the vent valve closes and the purge valve opens. The engine vakuum is applied to the EVAP system via the purge valve. There is a pressure sensor which checks if a vakuum in the tank sytem exists. If the vent valve not close airtight, or a line is damaged, or the...

2012 Yukon XL Denali temperature creeping up at idle only.

I would do a co test of the coolant. Could be a damaged cylinder head gasket, which give pressure in the coolant. Than coolant is missing and your water pump cannot cool enough in idle. That explain as well, why your water pump is loosing water twice.

This is also a nightmare for the environment. ATF drips off and is washed off by spray water and ends up in the environment. A drop of oil contaminates 1000 liters of drinking water, they say. I'm certainly not green, but you don't have to harm the environment through thoughtlessness either.

What is ATF/ blaster mixture? ATF = Automatic transmission fluid? Pb= Lead? Blaster? When I do Rost protection I remove the old loose rust and dirt, with a high pressure washer and then I remove the rust mechanically, but not with the needle rust remover, which is completely unsuitable in many...

I finally polished my car and treated it with carnauba wax. I showed my wife the car and she said: Now you can sell it again for €20,000. That's when I thought: Before I sell her, I'll sell you. As an experienced husband, of course.... I didn't say it..

Used engine flush, now rear main seal leaking.

Let's go at it logically, what do we have in an automatic transmission, that comes into contact with oil? We have the clutches, that have a metal side and a friction lining. These carry out the actual shifting processes and wear out due to the brief friction during shifting. Then of course we...

Used engine flush, now rear main seal leaking.

I really appreciate your posts, but this is where you are wrong. In an automatic transmission, bad oil is the first problem for poor functions and the basis for wear. This is because the hydrocarbon chains from which oil is formed, mechanically wear between the gears, pistons and clutches and...

Me too, bought my Summit used and brocken, disassembled it, repaired it, pimpt him with better wheels, installed a storring system, and some detail changes polished everything. Installed a stainless steel cover for the fat pan, so that the cleaning is easy. I love this grill. Power...

I grill my own chickens on the grill. One day a customer invited me to KFC for lunch. I was there twice, the first and the last time. What a grub. Anyone who eats something like that voluntarily, hates their body.

Transmission life on the early Hoes?

I also think that gearboxes, that fail after an oil change, are gearboxes where the oil change was made, because the gearbox ran poorly and one hoped that the oil change would improve the situation. Transmission flush maschines as they are necessary in Germany are probably popular for two...

Tahoe dies out while driving not all the time. What's going on???

It can be anything from an air mass sensor, to oxygen sensors, fuel pressure regulator, faulty air, mass problems, electrical issues. First check for codes then proceed in sequence.

I made rain today. It is very easy for me and i wait for good job offers. Maybe from a dry region where you can have good fun. Something like Nevada? I really think about opening a car wash center in the Sahel zone. How I do rain? Well it's very easy, i just wash my car, the next day it's...

Used engine flush, now rear main seal leaking.

I would never pour something like that in my engine. What closes leaks, also closes oil channels and orifice. Oil leaks are way too versatile. Torn seals, improperly tightened oil pans, worn oil seals. But even worse is cooler tight. Anyone who has ever taken apart an engine with stuff like...

You should NOT fill washer fluid into the transmission and no ATF into the washer fluid tank. Both will not work... ;) Even if both products are available in red... :Big Laugh:

Until you loose the wheel a lot can happen, because the wheel bearing is secured with the drive shaft, if you have a 4wd. But I would check that fast. The wheel bearing hub is disassembled in 30 minutes with the right tools.

    Rear Wheel Lockup

When that happened, where both wheels immediately blocked and the car did not slide in one direction? And when you stood, could you drive, or was the rear still blocked? What happens then? I think as well, must be differenzial or park brake.

It was for me as well the first time with this noise. On other cars I had a singing or grinding noise, here i had only once a crushing loud noise and after 2 minutes, like nothing happened. Transmission life on the early Hoes?

From my humble view is a transmission flush the most misunderstood thing. Here in Germany garage charges for a flush 500 to 800€ and people think that they can't do it themself and it cleans the unit. But at least the problem is only, that at most transmissions only have 1/3 to 1/4 of the oil...
