No codes? You sure you dont have another vacuum leak anywhere? Could take a can of carb clean brake clean or starter fluid or I’ve seen people use propane and just spray it around the hoses or intake manifold and look for gasket leaks you would hear the idle surge when you find it.
I think their weak all together unless beefed up at the weak links and even then if not built correctly won’t last my buddy went through probably a dozen trans in his 97 and his 05 the only one that held up was when he swapped in a 4l80 in that 05
Did you ever find a solution?
I’ve seen and personally used a Silverados front lift for the front half of the lift I pieced together the back with rough country springs and drop brackets and longer shocks with a adjustable panhard bar
I haven’t worked on one as new as yours but u know the...
Give em some faith I’ve had 35s on my 400,000 mile 4l60 for maybe 150,000 miles or more with no issues and I dog the shit out of it but then again I blew two out of both my Silverados with 35s-37s on them
I’ve had and seen plenty of bent pushrods broken valve springs and scored lifted I’ve never seen a cam mess up though and some of my buddy have beat the dog shit out of their trucks with built motors stage 4 cams anytime they have broke it so far it’s just been as simple as dropping a new...
But from my knowledge I always tie a string. Line running all the way around the vehicle to set the toe on the tie rods the camber I just eyeball the best I can until I get to the alignment shop
Last time I did the Tahoe he said it was spot on minus some adjustments in the uca the tie rods I...
I’d shoot for the avalanche flairs beings the rear ones ain’t cut like the Tahoes rear flares are for the door opening…
Silverado flares don’t line up good with the body lines of the Tahoes I’d get some z71 style flares or if you want beefy get the bushwackers
Those are for a 2500hd and are different you want the ones in the link I sent you
And I’ve heard good things about the Viking coil overs that guy at atomic fab sells I’d say go for it or if you want something different you can buy the conversion kit and then just get your own shocks...
It should be the same control arm my buddy used 4wd cognito uca on his 2wd if you doubt it though just call cst or get the cognito ones
Here’s a pic he has the torsion bar front end but 2wd
He was happy with them but he wished he would’ve spent the extra 100$ for the uniballsand here’s a pic of...
If you don’t trust the one on the dash you can get a volt meter that mounts in the dash or one of your charging ports to read the voltage.
I have a aftermarket amp in my Tahoe and on the bass knob there is a voltage meter that I watch but in your case the cig lighter one would be fine
Looks like CST full throttle suspension and cognito are the only main ones who still makes uniball control arms for the 99-06 cst being the cheapest
cognito uca i found on eBay for 600$ for ball joint style and 700$ for the uniball ones but i like how cst has the gussets and brace on their arms...
Looks like fabtech don’t make em for the 99-06 anymore I found a similar set made by cst I’ll look and see if I can find a set any cheaper for you
https://cstsuspension.com/shop/gmc/2wd-gmc/99-06-chevy-gmc-1500-2wd-gmc/uniball-upper-arms-1999-2007-1500-2wd/
I’ve had good luck with my fabtech uniballs but if you can’t find a set for the 99-06 then cognitos are good or any of the dirt king fab camburg mozzi off-road are all good I just got the fabtech arms cheap on sale on amazon for like 500 or so at the time vs 750$ normally
And yes I’ve had...
