If it gets up to around 3” or more upper control arms would help a lot with the ride quality I threw out my rough country arms and ended up running fabtech uniballs because they were the same price just about as the cognito control arms but allow more travel beings it’s a uniball so it made the...
That’s not bad but the labor rate they charge is mainly what I was getting at. I do ALL my own work myself and so has my father in law who has a 05 suburban with over 400,000 on her also
He’s in his 70s now though so I try to help him now a days when stuff goes wrong but shit he’s never changed...
My 5.3 with the dod lifters still in it just tuned out on the computer has over 400,000 miles
However the transmission is liable to go I think that year had the bad torque converter maybe have it flushed and inspect the fluid for wear or maybe get a billet converter installed but I wouldn’t...
GMC dealership will rip you a new one find a mom and pop shop before you ever go to the dealership… a honest shop will help you out for the least amount possible and not just try to steal your money or up charge you 300% for parts you can get for a fraction of the price online

I take it down the beach every now and then I’ve actually took it down the side of the road coming off of Hatteras island running about 65-70mph a couple times testing the coil overs and uniball control arms but no I don’t mud bog my shit I’ll take it down the beach before I take it in the woods
Aftermarket lift keys uncranked or maybe halfway up with 2-3” shock extenders should be fine that’ll give you clearance to clear 33s and cranked up clear 35s on stock wheels
Shit I’ve ran 4” spacers before
I’ve had bare minimum 2” spacers on 14 wides for years with no issues the key is a good heavy duty front end and wheel bearings or the offset wheels and wheel spacers will eat that shit for breakfast kryptonite stuff has held up to my abuse and salt water...
Yea my truck is 2wd but my parts truck is a 4wd avalanche
Since it’s such a hassle to convert the 4wd transmission to a 2wd could I just throw the 4wd transmission and transfer case in and swap the driveshafts out
With the transfer case left in 2wd and the front driveshaft removed wouldn’t...
I thought to swap that 4wd trans I got and just leave the transfer case un hooked would work but I think the driveshaft length would become a issue then
@NickTransmissions
I need some help here man
Like the title says
my ammco transmission is less then 6 months old and less then 10,000 miles on it
last wensday otw home from work I hit the highway around 75 or so and felt a terrible vibration when I let off the gas the tail shaft housing...
I’d look for a 07-14 Denali/escalade with the 14 bolt in it as they were 6 lug vehicles they can be hard to find sometimes in the junk yard though
That’s probably going to be about your only bolt in option so to say without major modifications
If it does just throw a 1/4” or 1/2” spacer on it and should give you the Clarence you need I never rubbed with mine but they were 24x10 snowflakes and 33/12.50s
Mainly the center of the differential cover I reckon? I believe @Doubeleive is the one on here with a mag hytec
I appreciate you getting pics and better yet measurements for us man that’s awesome
I’m very curious if that curved track bar will clear a bigger aftermarket differential cover I’d love to put a mag hytec on my rig but that’s the main reason I never did
I hope you weren’t one of them guys in advance who asks if it’s a 2wd or 4wd when I go in for windshield wipers :hahano:
